USER SUPPORTED SOFTWARE
=======================
User-Supported software is a means for the general computing
public to receive quality software while directly supporting
the software authors. This concept is based on the following
idea;
The value and utility of the software can be assessed by
the user on his/her own system, for his/her requirements.
Then after using the program(s) the user can determine
if the program serves the needs and requirements of that
user.
The development and distribution of independently developed
software can and should be support by the computing
community using that software.
Copying of programs is encouraged, The ease and low cost
involved in the distribution of this type of software out-
side of the traditional commercial network, indicates the
strength of this form of software use and support.
Under the user supported concept, anyone may request a copy of a
user-supported program by sending a blank formatted diskette to
the program author together with a stamped self addressed
envelope for the return of the diskette. A copy of the program
along with the normally supplied documentation will be returned
by mail to the requester.
Each program will carry a notice suggesting registration for the
program. Registration is voluntary.
Regardless of whether you register or not, you are encouraged to
copy and distribute the program to others for private use.
