  22. echo The library contained on this disk is made to be used with MICROSOFT
  23. echo QuickBASIC 4.5, and compatible compiled basics when compiling from DOS.
  24. echo.
  25. echo Since some of the routines use the interrupt routines in the QB.LIB 
  26. echo library provided by MICROSOFT with QuickBASIC 4.5, this library should
  27. echo also be available to the linker.

  29. echo User's of QBLIB #1 version 1.00 should carefully read the CHG.101 file as
  30. echo several routines have been modified, and a whole block of screen routines
  31. echo have been deleted and replaced with a new system.  Relinking any old code
  32. echo that contains those routines would cause either a failure at link time,
  33. echo or bizarre activity in the program at run time.

  35. echo Users of version 1.00 and 1.01 should note the fixes and additions detailed
  36. echo in CHG.102.  This in this version extensive conversion to integer values
  37. echo was made, some parameters were changed, and several routines were deleted
  38. echo from the library and replaced with more efficient ones.

  45. echo The file QB1.MAN is a user's manual for all library routines, and is
  46. echo already formatted in plain ASCII for printing.  To print out the manual
  47. echo set your printer to 12 pitch type, and set the left marging to one inch.
  48. echo Then, just dump the document to the printer either with the PRINT command,
  49. echo or by using TYPE QB1.MAN redirected to PRN.  You should have no problem
  50. echo unless your printer does not use ASCII 12 for its top of form command as
  51. echo all page breaks are marked by ASCII 12.  If you only have 10 pitch type
  52. echo available the manual will just fit on standard paper if you set the left
  53. echo margin to 0.  Also, the underscore in the manual is ASCII 205, so your
  54. echo printer should be in a mode that handles eight bit characters.

  75. echo restriction, however, if used in commercial applications credit must be
  76. echo given to WEST'S both in the documentation and any title messages that are
  77. echo used in the programs.  Use of any of the programs and routines is at the
  78. echo user's own risk.  West's removes glitches as they become evident, however,
  79. echo no guarantee is given that some bug as yet undetected will not appear and

  101. echo copy of PDM.EXE, a simple formatter for ASCII text that produces right
  102. echo justified, proportionally spaced output that utilizes both expansion and
  103. echo contraction of increment spacing to give very neat appearing printed out-
  104. echo put.  The cost is $5.00 to cover the disk, shipping and handling.

  116. echo plus a command line utility MKDEC which makes DECLARE statements for
  117. echo routines found in code files, and a command line utility IQB whichs
  118. echo converts interpreted BASIC program files into a QuickBASIC style format.

  120. echo LIBDOC is a must program for any QuickBASIC programmer who has a large
  121. echo number of library routines to keep track of, as it simplifies the process
  122. echo of making and updating INCLUDE files and indexed explanatory manuals for
