Thank you for trying The Programmer's Productivity Pack Lite!
The Programmer's Productivity Pack Lite is usually distributed on
two diskettes and/or in two compressed files. The programs are
contained in a file called "PROLITEA.EXE". The User's Guide and
other documentation is contained in a file called "PROLITEB.EXE".
Be sure you have both compressed files before attempting to use
the Programmer's Productivity Pack Lite. The User's Guide and
question-and-answer file are very important.
The package may sometimes be found in a single large file called
PROLITE.ZIP. Regardless of how it is packaged, be sure to check
the PACKING.LST file to ensure that you have all the required
files. Thanks!
Complete instructions for using the Programmer's Productivity
Pack Lite, version 1.01, are contained in the PROLITE.DOC text
file (the User's Guide). For your convenience, page breaks and
margins are already set. We recommend printing a copy of that
document for reference while you are using the programs. Please
be aware that the User's Guide is very long (about 100 pages).

Here are a few examples of how you can print any of the
documentation files. For the purpose of the example we will
print this text file (READ.ME).
Using the DOS "PRINT" program to print in the background:
PRINT READ.ME <Enter>
Using the DOS "COPY" command:
COPY READ.ME PRN <Enter>
Using the DOS "TYPE" command:
TYPE READ.ME > PRN <Enter>
Please take a few minutes to read the Quick Start Tutorials in
the User's Guide (PROLITE.DOC). They will provide you with the
information you need to get up and running with the Programmer's
Productivity Pack Lite, in a minimal amount of time.
Please read the TIPS listed in the User's Guide (PROLITE.DOC).
They will provide you with useful information on getting the most
out of your time with the Programmer's Productivity Pack Lite.
If any questions arise please consult the text file called
ANSWERS.DOC. It answers the most common questions people ask
when getting started with The Programmer's Productivity Pack
Lite.

Installation Instructions:
--------------------------
Installation is easy. Simply copy the files with an .EXE
extension into a subdirectory (or diskette) of your choice.
If you do not have a hard disk, or if you are using a version of
DOS earlier than 3.0, please refer to the User's Guide
(PROLITE.DOC).

Configuration File:
-------------------
The first time you run the programs in the Programmer's
Productivity Pack Lite they will generate a configuration file -
PROLITE.CFG. This configuration file contains customizing
information such as screen color attributes, sound effects, etc.
This is the file that will be modified by PCustom when you
customize the package for your own preferences.
The configuration file (PROLITE.CFG) is marked read-only,
therefore you will not be able to delete it using the DOS "DEL"
or "ERASE" commands. You will need to use the ATTRIB command to
change the read-only attribute before deleting the file. You may
do this with the command "ATTRIB -R PROLITE.CFG" <Enter>. Then
you will be able to delete the file using the normal DOS "DEL" or
"ERASE" commands. Alternatively, you may use the utility program
"KILLCFG.EXE" which deletes the PROLITE.CFG file in the current
subdirectory.
Thank you for trying this program and for supporting the
Shareware marketing concept! Happy Lite ProPak'n!
