FONTEDIT will run from a floppy drive, but it is best to run it from a
hard disk in order to allow room for temporary files and for the font
file to grow.
To begin FONTEDIT demo version, simply type:
fedem12 [filename]
where the optional parameter [filename] is the font file to view and edit.
Wildcards are OK.
With some VGA cards, text in VGA mode will be blue, which may be difficult
to read. If this is the case, EGA or CGA modes can be forced by starting
FONTEDIT as:
fedem12 [filename] /ega
or fedem12 [filename] /cga
A sample font file called "handwrit.sft" is included, and two sample
TIFF files "sample1.tif" & "sample2.tif" are included for demonstrating
the Import TIFF feature of FONTEDIT.
The file "femanual.com" is a compressed, self-extracting version of the
full FONTEDIT user's manual. To extract it, simply type "femanual", and
it will create the file "femanual.txt".
Addendum to Manual:
If using the DOS access feature, make sure your PATH includes the subdirectory
containing FONTEDIT.
