Written by Paul Miller
"WRAPPER" lets you design your own "wrapping" paper, useful for small
boxes, gifts, etc. Messages you type in will be continuously printed
on paper which can be later cut and trimmed for gift wrapping
purposes. Packages should be rather small, since the paper being
printed is usually 8-1/2 inches wide.
Your printer must be capable of printing 80 columns, and must be on
line and ready to go when this program is run.
When prompted to do so, enter a short message, such as "Happy
Birthday" or other appropriate greeting. Pressing ONLY the <Return>
key at this point ends the program.
After you have entered your message and pressed the <Return> key, the
message is continuously printed. Since a carriage return is not sent
to the printer until the end of the actual printed line, so-called
"barber pole" patterns may be common on the printed output; these
patterns usually add to the attractiveness of the wrapping.
To end the printing, again press the <Return> key. Note that the
pattern may continue printing after you press the <Return> key. This
is due to the printer buffer not yet emptied.
The message will continue printing until you press the <Return> key,
and will print across the perforations on tractor-feed paper (this
assumes, of course, that you do not have your printer set to skip
over perforations).
After your message has printed, you can again enter another message
for a different wrapper, or end the program by pressing only the
<Return> key.
