TANTAMJARIK v1.0
Copyright (c) 1989 Colin Saunders
Distribution
Tantamjarik is distributed through the shareware
concept. This means that you can give copies to your
friends, family, dogs, etc. if you give them the product in
it's entirety. However, if you continue to play the game,
you must send in the $10 registration fee to:

By doing so, you are not only being a swell guy but you are
contributing to a fund for me to buy an assembler and write
more games!
The Files
To play Tantamjarik you only need 1 file. However,
other files are included to make your life as easy as
possible. How nice.

Playing the Game
OHBOYOHBOYOHBOYOHBOYOHBOYOHBOYOHBOYOHBOYOHBOYOHBOY!
Yeah! The fun stuff! To start the game, type
TANTAM n
replacing n with the delay you wish to play the game. The
higher the delay, the slower the action. For right now, use
3. Now the title screen will appear. WOW! Well, maybe it
isn't that neat. From the title screen, you have 6 options.
You can press Q to quit, S to turn on and off the sound, +
to increase the delay, - to decrease the delay, 1 to start
the one player game, or 2 to start the 2 player game. Press
1 and the game is off!
One Player
The object is to get to the other side. (Kinda like the
chicken.) Your ship starts out at the upper left hand side.
Gravity will automatically pull you down, and thrusting will
cause your ship to go against gravity. You can thrust by
pressing the <TAB> key. If you run into an asteroid (or
circle, whatever), you die. But if you make it all the way
across, you enter the next solar system. Your solar system
number is shown in the way upper left corner. As the solar
systems increase, the number of asteroids increases, gravity
increases (along with your thrust), and the number of stars
increases. More on stars later. That's it for the 1 player
game. Sound easy? Play it and shut up.
Two Player
Two player is slightly different from one player. A
ship starts out on the left and goes to the right (like 1
player) and another ship starts in the lower right and flies
to the left. The ship on the left falls down and goes up by
pressing <TAB> and the ship on the right falls UP and goes
DOWN by pressing <BACKSPACE>. A player dies if he runs in to
an asteroid or runs into the opponents trail. When a player
dies, the other player gets a point. Games are played to 11,
you must win by two. There are skunks at 7-0 and 9-1. Try
cutting each other off! It's fun!
Stars
The multi-colored stars on the screen cause your ship
to do strange things. When you run into them, your path
changes color and you ship does something. I'll leave what
something up to you.
One Last Word
ENJOY! REGISTER! DON'T STAY UP TO LATE PLAYING!
Whoops. More than one word.
