ROBALL is an arcade game which displays some 3-d landscapes in CGA
or EGA. The short term goal of the game is to roll a robot ball
around some obstacles, to get to the completion square (the one that
is completely filled with a single colour). This will teleport you to
the next level. And so on...
The keys for the editor are: 1-7 for the different character sets,
<enter> to go to the next character set, Ctrl-L to load a new rack,
Ctrl-S to save a rack, arrow keys to change position. <esc> exits.
The keys for the game are: numeric keypad, (or Z,X,comma, full stop),
<esc> for the options menu, x to drop friction plates, space to drop
springboards. ? to restart at the top of the screen.
There are different types of landscapes:
Slopes, Bumps, Hollows
Pinball (bounces the ball away.)
Chute (acts like a drainpipe.)
Friction plate (slows down the ball) try the 'x' key.
Springboard (bounces the ball over gaps) try the space bar.
Bonus plate (gives you free lives, friction plates,
or springboards.)
Thorns (kill you)
End Plate (teleports the ball to the next rack)
