  1.                    How does PC-Hypertext link with other programs?

  4. What does it do?   Whenever PC-Hypertext finds a program or DOS call in
  5. ================   angle brackets, the program saves the current settings
  6.                    and location information to a file, creates a batch file
  7.                    to run your DOC/program calls, then exits from memory
  8.                    while calling the batch file.  The batch file runs the
  9.                    program calls, then reloads PC-Hypertext with all the
  10.                    current setting and location information.  <file18 EXAMPLE>

  12. Why this way?      While I could leave PC-Hypertext in memory to speed up the
  13. =============      calling process, I use this batch file method to leave
  14.                    memory totally free for your other programs.  This approach
  15.                    provides users with all of the system memory for their own
  16.                    application, and eliminates any possibility of memory
  17.                    conflicts with co-resident programs.
  18.  
  19. Other formats?     While I could include more file types, the program
  20. ==============     already automatically recognizes eight (8) such formats
  21.                    (KINDS OF JUMPS <File0A>).  Rather than slow down
  22.                    the speed of the angle-bracket jumps, I've include the
  23.                    capability to make any kind of hypertext jump desired
  24.                    with our program-call option.

  26. Other jumps?       I'll hint at other types of hypertext jumps -- putting
  27. ============       your  own  batch  filename  in angle brackets, calling a
  28.                    program that modifies the links in PC-Hypertext, and
  29.                    graphic jumps.

  32. ============       on any graphic file displayed to select subsequent graphic
