^1THE PLAYERS^0
You (player 1) vs. 3 computer opponents (players 2, 3, and 4)
^1THE DECK^0
52 Card Pack
^1OBJECT^0
To avoid taking tricks containing any Hearts or the Queen of Spades.
^1THE PASS^0
At the beginning of a Round, each player is dealt a 13 card hand. You will
then select 3 cards in your hand to pass to the player on your left. (On
subsequent Rounds the pass will be to the right, across, and finally a Round
where each player will play the cards dealt. After this "hold" hand, the pass
rotation will begin again by passing 3 cards to the player on the left.)
^1THE PLAY^0
Play begins with the player to the right of the dealer leading any card
except a Heart. After the first Heart is played, Hearts are "broken" and may
be led. Each player then plays, in turn, a card that matches the suit led.
If a player has no more of that suit, the player may choose any card in hand,
including a Heart. The highest card of the led suit takes the trick and the
player who takes it leads a card for the next round.
^1SCORING^0
At the end of each hand, player scores are totaled. A player receives 1
point for each Heart taken in a trick, 13 points if the player took the Queen
of Spades. However, if you should "Shoot the Moon" (capture all the Hearts
and the Queen of Spades) a total of 26 points is added to each of your
opponents' scores. When one player's grand total reaches or exeeds 100
points, the entire game ends and the player(s) with the lowest score(s) win(s)
the game.
^1CONTROLS^0
