GETTING RECORDS: REVISED: 4-14-89 You can retrieve AIRPORT RECORDS by either entering the identification number (2-9999) or by typing in correct letters of the last name. If you type NEW then all of the NEW names and their corresponding AIRPORT number will be displayed at the bottom of the screen you are using. You can then select the number of the particular NEW you were trying to locate. (i.e., NEW BEDFORD, NEW YORK, NEW IBERIA) If you don't know how to spell the name entirely, simply enter as many letters of the last name as you can and the search will broaden to include ALL names beginning with the letters you have entered. Since we provide the AIRPORT DATA using the 3 character identifier, all you need to do is type in the correct 3 characters. (i.e., DFW, CRP, RZS, SSM, etc.) or their corresponding numbers. The AIRCRAFT directory works the same way. The more letters of the name that are entered correctly, narrows the search for the aircraft. You can print a MASTER list of records anytime SEARCHING specific data or just listing ALPHABETICALLY.
