  6.                       Select UTILITIES/SETUP...

  8. When you first run FS-PRO, please check the paths that were
  9. created when you installed the system. If you selected fixed
  10. drive C:\ then the default paths should work properly if
  11. your MODE PATH is also properly identified. If you selected any
  12. other drive, then you MUST EDIT the system PARAMETERS before
  13. proceeding to use FS-PRO. Select SETUP from the main menu
  14. and follow menus and prompts through the procedure for
  15. installation.

  17. It is a good idea to double check your PARAMETER settings
  18. before proceeding. You will want to select a color scheme
  19. that is pleasing to you and certainly enter your first and
  20. last name for customized menu prompts and printouts. So, you
  21. can check the entire installation at that time and it won't
  22. be necessary to change anything unless you move things
  23. around in your directories.

  25. DID YOU READ THE FILE FSPRO.DOC that is supposed to be
  26. distributed with the entire program series?
  27.  
  28. If you properly installed FS-PRO, then you may select item #1
  29. from the main menu and a list of the ADVENTURES that came in
  30. the MODPAK1.ARC file will be presented in a window
  31. directory. Use the arrow keys to highlight a filename and
  32. the ENVIRONS screen will appear. If the highlight bar
  33. obliterates the filename, then you have chosen a text
  34. foreground color of black and you will have to pick another
  35. color or put up with it.
  36. If you did NOT properly install the MODPAK and AIRPORTS
  37. archives that are provided with this series, then you will
  38. NOT have any ADVENTURES, AIRPORTS, DESCRIPTIONS or DEMO
  39. FLIGHT PLAN to work with. READ THE DOCS!

  41. MAIN MENU
  42.  
  43. Individual MODULES are called up from the MAIN MENU. And,
  44. you can always return to FS-PRO'S MAIN MENU from any other
  45. MODULE.

  47. CHECKLIST
  48.  
  49. 1. You should have files in your ADVENTURE LIBRARY.
  50. 2. Your name should be on the Main Menu somewhere.
  51. 3. You should have files in your MODE LIBRARY.
  52. 4. You should have 601 airports in the AIRPORT RECORDS.
  53.      (#45 = CRP - Corpus Christi, Texas) TEST RECORD

  55. If your checklist fails, then go back to the docs and read
  56. about unarching the .MOD, .DAT, .ADV and AIRPORT data files
  57. into their PROPER DIRECTORY. This data is provided with the
  58. INSTALL program and must be on board for FS-PRO to work
  59. properly.

  61. UTILITIES/SETUP (Additional)

  63. This module allows you to handle a lot of housekeeping
  64. chores with your FS-PRO and MODE files and also lets you
  65. customize the system to your specifications.
  66.  
  67. It includes an on-board HELP file like this one (you can
  68. edit any of our .HLP or .DOC files with a DOS text editor)
  69. and feel free to write your own HELP files when you figure
  70. this all out. Just don't change the name; edit ours.

  72. Each MODULE has either a HELP or INFORMATION choice if you
  73. need some extra assistance.
