WORDFIND - Documentation
========================
Files used:- WORDFIND.EXE
WORDFINE.DAT
WORDFIND.DOC (This file)
The game of WORDFIND is intended to help children with their
understanding of words. In it, 10 words chosen from a particular
topic (eg. Trees) are hidden in a square of 20 letters by 20
letters. The words can run in any direction including back to
front.
Using the CURSOR keys and RETURN a word is selected from the list
of 10. This word then has to be found in the square by picking
out its letters (starting with the first) in turn, again using
the CURSOR and RETURN keys.
The process is repeated for all 10 words.
WORDFIND is intended to form part of a suite of programs called
WORD GAMES. However it can be run on its own by switching to the
directory WORDFIND and typing WORDFIND at the > prompt.
The data used by WORDFIND is held in the ASCII file WORDFIND.DAT.
Being a simple ASCII file it can be amended with a word processor
or editor running in the ASCII mode.
The form of the data file is as follows:-
First line contains number of topics in the file.
This is followed on the next line by a topic title which is
followed, on the next line, by the number of words in that topic
(There must be 10 or more). Following that, on consecutive lines,
are each of the words. Another topic follows that and so on.
The length of the topic title and the words must not exceed 12
characters.
You are free to copy and distribute this program either on its
own or with the rest of the programs in the suite. However,
please include this document with the copy:
If you like the program/suite of programs and/or make a copy, it
would be appreciated if you could send a donation of £5.00 to me:

Also, any comments or suggestions would be most welcome as this
feedback is always useful.
