  12. DESCRIPTION:  CIPHER is a word puzzle game in which you must try to
  13. discover the real meaning of a quotation or other phrase that has 
  14. been encrypted.  To get started either read the .doc file or just
  15. start up the game and view the help screens to learn how the game
  16. works.

  18. REQUIREMENTS:  CIPHER runs in 640x350, 16 color graphics mode for use
  19. with an EGA or VGA card.  It can also run in color or monochrome text
  20. mode, so almost any system will work.  All video modes support keyboard
  21. play; VGA and EGA modes also supports mouse play.

  23. SHAREWARE: CIPHER is distributed as Shareware.  You are free to try
  24. the game and make copies for others.  If you continue to use the
  25. game, however, you must pay the author a registration fee of $15; in
  26. return you'll receive a copy of the latest version of the program, a
  27. larger collection of puzzles and possibly other software to try out.
  28. A deluxe version with binder and printed manual is available for $22.
  29. Please include $2 shipping, or $4 for the deluxe version or for
  30. shipping outside the U.S.  Disk vendors, please see VENDOR.TXT for

  74. MAHJONGG:  Addictive solitaire game played with Chinese tiles.  Very
  75.            easy to learn but always a challenge to win.  Many game
  76.            options including timed games, tournaments, etc.  Also
  77.            allows loading optional tile sets (tile editor included).

  90. CIPHER:    A word puzzle game, yet it uses hi-res VGA or EGA graphics
  91.            for displays (mouse optional).  Also will run in text mode.
  92.            Includes over 30 puzzles to solve; registered version comes
  93.            with over 200 additional puzzles.  You can also enter your
  94.            own puzzles.

  96. CIPHWN:    Cipher for Windows.  Just like regular Cipher, only this
  97.            runs under the Microsoft Windows 3.x enviroment.  Includes
  98.            standard Windows help with complete game instructions.

  100. PUZZLES:   Several collections of puzzles are available that work with
  101.            either CIPHER or Cipher for Windows.  Each collection
  102.            contains over 200 puzzles.

  104. SHOOT:     "Shooting Gallery" is a colorful arcade game with several
  105.            different rounds to test your aim and reflexes, including
  106.            skeet, quick draw, carnival type shooting range and a wild 
  107.            west shootout.  Uses 320x200, 256 color mode and a mouse to
  108.            play.  Requires VGA or MCGA.

  134.            to add music and sound effects to their programs.  Includes
  135.            units for interrupt and real time sounds.

  137. BASSTOUR:  (Written by Dick Olsen).  Game that simulates a fishing
  138.            tournament, including rod and lure selection.  Runs in
  139.            EGA/CGA/Hercules graphics modes.  Uses many of the
  140.            utilities from MOUSTOOL.  Do not order this game from

  144. BASSMAP:   Companion program for BassTour which allows lakes to be
  145.            created or modified.  EGA and CGA versions provided.
  146.            Requires BassTour or Bass Class.

  148. These programs are probably available on your favorite BBS or from
  149. your favorite disk vendors.  To register them or to order direct, use
  150. the form in the file "orderfrm.txt" which is all ready to print.  The
  151. "deluxe" version includes the registered software on diskette, plus a
  152. binder and printed manual (some programs also include quick reference
  153. cards).  The standard version includes just the diskette with the
  154. registered software.  You can also use your VISA or MasterCard to
  155. order on-line thru the support BBS, Xevious, at 508-875-3618.  Use
  156. the command "DOOR 15" to order.
