  6. Alpha's products and services are for technically sophisticated persons who 
  7. understand and use active crossovers. Nonetheless, most people have little 
  8. interest in manufacturing these special components.  That is where we come in.  
  9. We also have expertise and specialized design tools for optimizing applications 
  10. of this equipment.

  12. We market a line of extremely flexible circuit cards and chassis for building 
  13. active crossovers. Layout and fabrication of these products meets the highest 
  14. standards. Our open, symmetrical building-block oriented circuit boards have 
  15. gold plated contact fingers and heavy solder plated traces. We use top quality 
  16. high temperature circuit board substrates. This  ensures easy assembly and 
  17. reliable installation.  We use standard, laboratory quality chassis and card 
  18. frames.

  20. These well-documented circuits employ high quality integrated circuit 
  21. operational amplifiers  with close tolerance film resistors and capacitors.  
  22. They provide reliable, predictable, state-of-the-art performance.  A typical 
  23. system will have an input impedance of 10K ohms. It will be able to drive 600 
  24. ohm loads to +22 dBm (over 8 volts RMS). There will be less than .02 THD or IM 
  25. distortion at any audio frequency. Noise is extremely low, and a 110 dB dynamic 
  26. range is typical. Design frequency response can be achieved within 0.1 dB.

  28. Ask Alpha for a simple 2-way crossover for adding a subwoofer to a pair of 
  29. bookshelf loudspeakers. Call on Alpha for a 6-way system with phase 
  30. compensation, driver equalization, and preset level matching.  Alpha can 
  31. supply anything in between.

  34. ECO-SW  with one each Alpha EC-300 crossover card and regulated power supply.

  39. build complex systems. This will provide you with all of the latest

  44. For example, the model ECO-S3W three-way system uses 2 each EC-300 crossover 
  45. cards and a PS-300 power supply in a die-cast box.  The 300-S3W three-way 
  46. system adds 2 each LA-300 level match cards, and a 300 series card rack.  
  47. The difference between the small and large systems is output level matching, 
  48. space for future expansion, and rack mounting.

  50. Use these simple, reliable circuit card building blocks to build systems with 
  51. any degree of complexity. Build six-way systems, three channel systems, and 
  52. systems with analog delay using Alpha products. Add driver equalization, 
  53. phase compensation, and produce outputs for driving bridged amplifiers with 
  54. Alpha circuit cards. The EC-300 card includes a user configurable area with  
  55. a dual operational amplifier.

  57. Demanding professional applications for very large high performance sound 
  58. reinforcement systems can add Alpha's MA-300 isolated, balanced input/output 
  59. cards. Add one MA-300 card for every balanced output you need.  A three-way, 
  60. two-channel system requires six  MA-300 cards. This brings the total 
  61. crossover system up to the capacity of a single 3.5 inch high rack frame.
