  2.      READFAST! is designed to improve reading speed and efficiency.  The
  3. file READFAST.DOC discusses some of the causes for poor reading skills and
  4. offers suggestions for making improvements.  (This file can be viewed by
  5. entering READFAST DOC at the DOS prompt, or printed out by typing COPY
  6. READFAST.DOC PRN.) Then the READFAST program provides pacing clicks to help
  7. the user increase reading speed.  The program measures reading time and
  8. calculates reading rate.
  9.  
  10.      Instructions are provided within the program to make it easy to mark a
  11. book or other reading matter for use in the paced reading.
  12.  
  13.      READTACH.EXE flashes lines of an eye-span exercise or other text file
  14. on the screen, one line at a time, to force the reader to read faster.
  15. (Eye-span exercises are included on this disk.)  READTACH provides the
  16. ability to choose the speed at which lines will be flashed on the screen,
  17. and to choose whether speed increases automatically as the file is
  18. displayed.

  20.      To start READFAST or READTACH, just type the name of the program and
  21. hit <Enter>.

  25.      Another file included on this disk is READSYLL.BUS, a suggested
  26. schedule for a reading improvement program.  You can view it by typing
  27. READFAST SYLLABUS at the DOS prompt, or print it:  COPY READSYLL.BUS PRN.

  29.      Registered users will receive VIEW.EXE, a program which displays files
  30. a screen at a time with the ability to scroll backward or forward.  The
  31. file you are now reading is displayed in the VIEW format when you type
  32. READFAST GO.  Other programs provided to registered users are described in
  33. the Introduction to READFAST (Choice 1 on the menu).

  36. who register.
