Dear Job Seeker
My program "The Job Applicants DataBase" is designed to aid the
skilled individual who is unable to locate work due to an
circumstances beyond thier control. Such as: Graduate of an
educational program but lacks initial experience, has had a long
absence from the field and lacks current experience, or some other
discriminatory factor, especially age or health condition (such
factors cause employers to wonder about costs and the term they are
willing and able to work).
If you do not fall into this category I urge you to continue with
other means. As this program uses a sales intensive method of
repetitive applications and people who don't need to use it will
reduce the effectiveness of people who do need to use it.
To use, gather together your collection of job openings and start
the program. The program is executed like any program.
d:\path\JOBAPPS d:\datapath
If any of the drive or paths are missing the default is assumed. Also
for memory and security considerations it is not recommended that the
program and the data be stored on the same disk. It is also
recommended that the data be on a floppy drive that is backed up at
least every month.
The program is extremely user friendly, I have provided on screen
instructions for just about everything that could be expected from the
user. It is also arranged in sequence, first you add new
records,(keeping track of the record number it was entered under)
second, edit records(by supplying record number) rejection letters
have disclosed errors or additions. Third delete, records(by supplying
record number) undeliverable applications or rejection letters that
have lead you to believe a repeated application would be worthless,
and, lastly extract this weeks employers producing labels and a merge
file.
I have written this program to be compatible with all IBM-pc's
and compatibles. from the simplest 86 to the most advanced AT. Please
let me know if I am mistaken.
Much more information about my program, why it may work when
others have failed, what you can expect when you register and MORE is
included in the files ending in .DOC. To print all the files type:
COPY *.DOC PRN.

P.S. The first time you run the program you must enter the Creation
Menu as instructed on the registration page.
