ILink (sm) Database Query / Reports v2.02
Copyright (C) 1990, 1991 by Mark Rapp
ILink Admissions, Data: (201)239-1346
May be freely distributed so long
as NO modifications are made.
─────────────────────
ILDB is supplied as is. The author disclaims all
warranties, expressed or implied, including, without
limitation, the warranties of merchantability and of
fitness for any purpose. The author assumes no liability
for damages, direct or consequential, which may result
from the use of ILDB.
─────────────────────
ILDB is the official database program for the ILink Int'l
Mail Network. ILDB is menu-driven and will allow you to
search by BBS Name, Sysop, State/Country, phone number and
modem-type. In addition, reports can be generated for
later review.
─────────────────────
The full database program is distributed in two ZIP files:
ILDB202.ZIP consists of the main executionable and this
document.
ILDTmmdd.ZIP (where "mm" is the month, and "dd" is the
day of the release) consists of the updated DB files and
ILDT.DOC
Unless the main program ( within ILDB202.ZIP ) is revised,
you will need only download ILDTmmdd.ZIP, which will be
be updated monthly, to remain current. Please note that
v2.xx is a major upgrade and data files associated with
this release require that you have v2.02.
─────────────────────
The program is easy to use. Simply make sure that the RBF
files ( the data files found within ILDTmmdd.ZIP ) and the
main program, ILDB.EXE, are in the same directory, and
execute "ILDB".
Two command-line switches are available:
"ILDB LISTS" will enable you to generate ILink's member
lists via a batch file
"ILDB DOOR" disables list generation for door use
─────────────────────
NetSysops NOTE: Please obtain a copy of ILAPP101.ZIP, and
follow the directions therein...
1) If your BBS record contains an "<M>" in ILNKmmdd.LST
2) If, when your BBS information is displayed, during a
database query, you see:
This BBS' Data Needs Updating (Y/N): [Y] NOTIFY SYSOP
^ ^
─────────────────────
ILDB was written and compiled on an 80386 IBM compatible
computer, and has been successfully run under the Novell
and Lantastic operating systems, DESQview and DOS 3.3. It
is doubtful whether ILDB can run successfully under Double
DOS, due to it's high memory requirements (about 450K).
Rbase places data file information in the memory region
between 640-1024K, so if ILDB aborts with a fatal error,
(upon loading), then you should first examine where any
TSRs are residing in memory -- they will either have to be
disabled or moved. Unfortunately, if you are among those
experiencing this problem, I have no further solution for
you at this time, due to the compiler's limitations.
─────────────────────
Additions, corrections or changes should be left as a
COMMENT on MicroSellar BBS, (201)239-1346, using one of
the appropriate forms found within ILAPP101.ZIP (available
for download to first-time callers).
─────────────────────
v1.00 01/15/91 Initial release
v1.01 04/01/91 Minor maintenance release

fields (street/city/etc) to be

─────────────────────
