EZ-CATLOG
EZ-CATLOG is a filing and cataloging program. It can be utilized to
categorize bible verses, recipes, library books, music libraries, etc. The
possibilies are endless. Use it as a "where is it" database to assign keywords
instead of categories, to help you remember where things are stored. The pro-
gram utilizes 2 primary files: a database file and a category file. You are
prompted each time the program is invoked for the names of the 2 files. If it
can't find existing files, in the current directory, to match the ones you
enter, it will create new ones for you. This means that you can have as many
different databases as you need. Both files can be updated or browsed at the
same time. You have been provided a catalog file(EZQUOTE2.DBD) and a category
file(EZQUOTE.CAT). EZQUOTE2.DBD is a condensed version of EZQUOTE.DBD which
is a collection of philosophical and inspirational quotations copyrighted as
"WORDS TO LIVE BY." EZCATLOG was written especially to catalog this collec-
tion. This file containing over 150 quotations is available for an additional
fee when you register your copy of EZCATLOG.
Two report options are provided: Record sequence -sequenced by record ID and
Category sequence - sequenced by category. Selections may be made by category
using "and" or "or" logic. Option to display to the screen or printer.
The categories section of database maintenance lists and updates the
categories assigned to this database record. F4 deletes all categories after
current curser position. F5 pulls up category maintenance and allows you to
add new categories or page through the categories available in alphabetical
sequence.
The record contents portion of the database maintenance is a mini-editor.
Curser movement up, down, left and right is avail-able but INS and DEL is not.
So that you don't split a word between two lines, word wrap is in effect. F3
causes everything in record contents to be saved regardless of curser
position. F4 does the same as F3 except it deletes everything following the
current curser position. ESC will get you out of any place in the program,
returning you to a previous prompt.

categories utilizing "and" or "or" logic by entering "<A>" or "<O>"
respectively. Up to 7 categories can be entered to select on. Two different
report formats are provided: Enter "R" and you will get a listing by database
