  4. This version of ELECTRIC DESK supports XMODEM file transfer in the
  5. communications service.  XMODEM file transfer is a standard method of
  6. sending and receiving files.  This means that you can now transfer
  7. files with error checking.  Error checking insures that the file will
  8. be sent with no file corruption.  You must use XMODEM file transfer
  9. to send or receive binary or program files.

  11. XMODEM transfer must be performed with parameters set to 8 data bits,
  12. no parity and one stop bit.  In communications service use F1 Setup
  13. Communications to establish these parameters.

  15. At the point of sending or recieving a file, Electric Desk will ask
  16. you which type of file transfer you would like.  The two options will
  17. be ASCII and XMODEM.
