  68.     For  the sake of clarity,  all references and restrictions to the use of 
  69.     the K9X also apply to all of the associated support files INCLUDING  the 
  70.     K9Xmodem, Super8K, SuperK and Jbatch protocols.

  72.     K9X, its overlays and all of its associated support files are not public 
  73.     domain software, nor are they free software.  K9X is copyright (C) 1985, 
  74.     1988 - the K9Xmodem,  Super8K, SuperK and JBatch protocols are copyright 
  75.     1987, 1988 by Crater Rim.

  77.     Non-registered users are granted a limited license to  use  K9X  version 
  78.     SW80  on  a  trial  basis  for  the purpose of determining whether these 
  79.     programs are suitable for their needs.  The term of this limited license 
  80.     is 30 days.  Use of K9X,  except  for  this  limited  purpose,  requires 
  81.     registration.  Use  of  non-registered  copies  of  K9X  by  any person, 
  82.     business,  corporation,  governmental agency or other entity institution 
  83.     is strictly forbidden.

  85.     Registration  permits  you  to  use  K9X  on a regular basis on a single 
  86.     computer.  A  registered  user  may  use  the  program  on  a  different 
  87.     computer,  but  may not use the program on more than one computer at the 
  88.     same time.  Registration also includes priority  support  on  Underdog's 
  89.     MiniNet BBS.  Users need register only one version of K9X.  Registration 
  90.     includes licensed use of all upgrades.

  92.     All corporate, business, government or other commercial uses of K9X must 
  93.     be registered.  We  offer  quantity  discounts  and  Corporate  or  site 
  94.     licensing is also available.

  96.     No  user  may  modify  K9X  in  any  way,  including  but not limited to 
  97.     decompiling, disassembling or otherwise reverse engineering the program.

  99.     All users are granted a limited license to copy K9X  version  SW80  only 
  100.     for  the trial use of others subject to the above limitations,  and also 
  101.     the following:

  103.         K9X  version SW80 must be copied in unmodified form, complete 
  104.         with the file containing this license information.  
  105.  
  106.         Any and all K9X documentation must be included with the copy.  
  107.         No  fee, charge or other  compensation  may  be accepted  or 
  108.         requested by any licensee.

  110.         K9X  may not be  distributed in  conjunction  with  any other 
  111.         product without prior arrangements with Crater Rim Software.

  113.     Operators of electronic bulletin board systems  (Sysops)  may  post  K9X 
  114.     version  SW80  for  downloading by their users only as long as the above 
  115.     conditions are met.

  117.     Distributors of public domain or user supported software may  distribute 
  118.     copies  of  K9X  version SW80 subject to the above conditions only after 
  119.     obtaining written permission from Crater Rim Software.  Such  permission

  127.     Crater  Rim Software makes no warranty of any kind,  express or implied, 
  128.     including without limitation,  any warranties of merchantability  and/or 
  129.     fitness  for  a  particular  purpose.  Crater  Rim Software shall not be 
  130.     liable  for  any  damages,   whether  direct,   indirect,   special   or 
  131.     consequential  arising  from a failure of this program to operate in the 
  132.     manner desired by the user.  Crater Rim Software shall not be liable for

  155.        not include  registration.  The  fee  covers  diskette,  postage  and 
  156.        handling.
