  1. Clip Art has always been around, but it now seems that many products
  2. make use of standard format images than ever before.  Label printing
  3. software, such as Label Pro by Avery, is just one example in which I
  4. constantly take advantage of these Clip Art features.
  5.  
  6. I've compiled a rather large library of Clip Art images  (a few hun-
  7. dred or so) from various sources. Generally these are scanned images
  8. from line art that are then touched up  and  enhanced using software
  9. such as PC Paintbrush IV.  My library includes images that fall into
  10. several categories such as:  People, Places, Office Equipment, Maps,
  11. Holidays, Transporation, Text Balloons, Office Supplies, etc.

  13. Enclosed in this archive is one of these Clip Art Images. Inintially
  14. I will be releasing between 25 and 50 such images.  More will follow
  15. if I receive a response from the BBSing community that indicates the
  16. work is wanted. (Else I have many better ways to spend my time.) The
  17. enclosed image contains a copyright banner which may only be removed
  18. for your personal use.   Distribution  of  these images without that
  19. banner is prohibited.   In addition, distribution of these images by
  20. so called SHAREWARE DISTRIBUTORS  is  prohibited  without  a written
  21. licencing agreement and payment of a distribution fee.   (The intent
  22. of the SHAREWARE concept has always been  to  eliminate the costs of
  23. middlemen, and I support that concept.)

  25. At this point in time I am not sure how many images will be prepared
  26. for distribution, so I am offering the following shareware registra-
  27. tions options for those who find these images of use.

  29. Option 1:
  30.       Incentive donation. Send me a dollar as an incentive donation.
  31.       This, combined with other such donations, will provide me with
  32.       an incentive to continue the conversion and distribution of my
  33.       existing Clip Art library.
  34.  
  35. Option 2:
  36.       Right-to-Use donation.  Send me a five dollar donation and you
  37.       will be registered with a Right-To-Use licence for  any of the
  38.       Clip Art  library that I release for  shareware  distribution.
  39.       The only hitch here is that you must first  locate  the  files
  40.       and then remove the copyright banner prior to use. Not bad for
  41.       a few images, but it can get to be a pain.

  43. Option 3:
  44.       Registration/purchase option.   For a $25.00 donation you will
  45.       have the above RTU but in addition I  will send you a diskette
  46.       full of released images WITH THE COPYRIGHT BANNER removed.  In
  47.       addition I will send you a up to date list of any other images
  48.       that have been converted.   Additional disks will be available
  49.       at a very modest cost (currently anticipated to be $10).
