. operator Id (including 'wildcards')
. account number (including 'wildcards')
. program name (including 'wildcards')
. date/time range (FROM/TO date/time)
. by all 4 above categories combined
- print full PC usage report, or just total lines
- process up to 128 job account numbers in a single pass through the log
file
- export log records into your spreadsheet or database programs
- create multiple log history files (by job account number, date range,
different projects, ...)
- 2K of main memory in resident mode

- sign on/off module provides easy and elegant way to maintain log of PC
usage in multi-user environment - compatible with almost all other PC
software (no incompatibility problems known so far)

ZLOG is distributed as a shareware program or directly by the author. Most
recent shareware version can be found on Bob Machoney's EXEC-PC bulletin board
at (414) 789-4210.
Both, ZLOG.ZIP and the diskette distributed by the author, contain these files:
README - This file
REGISTER - Registration Form
ZLOG.DOC - User's Guide
INSTALL.EXE - Installation Program
ZLOG.COM - Main Program
ZLOG00.OVR - Overlay Phase I
ZLOG10.OVR - Overlay Phase II
ZS.EXE - Sign on/off module (optional)
!EMPTY.LOG - Empty (skeleton) log file
Before you do anything, please make a copy of ZLOG.ZIP or ZLOG distribution
diskette and store it in a safe place. Diskette distributed by the author to
registered users is not copy protected, so you can use the DOS COPY command.
You might want to print User's Guide (55 pages). Use any text processor or
DOS COPY command (type: COPY ZLOG.DOC PRN).
Installation is very simple. Just type:
INSTALL
Installation program will ask you a few simple questions like: file names,
default processing options, printer features etc. Installation procedure is
described in detail in ZLOG User's Guide.
That is all. Follow instructions in ZLOG User's Guide how to activate ZLOG.
If you have any comments or suggestions do not hesitate to call or write. Any
comments will be deeply appreciated.
Thank you.
