XYZ Library
A Collection of Clipper Routines
Submitted by:

Released - December 1, 1989
This package is released as a test. I am trying to determine if there is
enough interest to continue development on the XYZ Library of Clipper
routines. Please, look at this program, use it if you can, and let me know
if you are interested in the routines used to develop this type of program.
I started developing this interface over three years ago. It is in use in
over 15 different applications at this time. The applications range from
a mailing list for a private company to secure packages used by the
Department of Defense. I have no problems with maintaining these programs
thanks to the standard programming practices I have developed. The modules
have proved to be error-free and easily modifiable to meet new and unexpected
user requirements.
I have documented the modules and would like to release them as Shareware.
However, I would like to determine the amount of interest in this product
before I release it. Supporting a product of this nature requires a
dedication to help software authors integrate the modules into their own
applications. If only a few people are interested, I won't waste my time.
If many people respond positively, I will be more than happy to release the
complete package (source code is also a possibility) for the programming
community.
I realize this is a rather different approach, but I feel it is the best way
for me personally. I have released a complete mailing package into the
public domain. The object modules which created this package are available
to anyone who is interested. Contact me at the address listed above, or on
GEnie - K.MURRAY3. Since it is up to me to specify a FAIR price for
registration, I would request that you send $30.00 for the latest version of
the XYZ Library. Regardless of what value you place on your time, you should
be able to recoup this nominal expense very quickly in time saved during
program development.
