XPENS.EXE Copyright 9/23/90 GEDDS.
Xpens is a generic expense report preparation and tracking
program. By means of 'Set Names' it allows you to assign
you own labels to the report in order to match your own
needs.

Definitions
==============================================================
A set name is a set of specific labels which are assigned
through an option in the program. This set when properly
assigned to the report through the first option will adorn
the left side of the report and will display at the bottom of
the screen the totals with titles that would normally appear
on the right side of a report. They do not fit on the screen
on the right or they would be there.

Limitations
==============================================================
This demo is limited only in that it will only see files on the
'a:' drive. This causes it to run slower, and places limits on
the historical files you can keep.

Features
==============================================================
The Notepad.
The notepad allows entry and view through the main menu
of the program and is also viewable through the F2 key in the
middle of the entry form. (after the ending date is entered)
It is indexed by date, but also provides a keyword
'subject' to trigger recognition of needed notes. The field is
a 2 line word-wrap field.
The Mileage calculator
The Mileage calculator was designed to add up the mileage
for the day and then calculates (after you put in the per-mile
rate) the total expense generated by the mileage. It is not
available in the form, but only through the main menu.

Basic concept
==============================================================
The Basic concept is;
For any feature, (notepad,phonebook,'set' names) you can
add a new record by hitting the insert key, and filling in the
form.
You can delete any record by highlighting it and hitting the
delete key. This will display the form record and hit Enter to
delete or ESC to cancel.
You can change a record by highlighting it and pressing the Enter
key. Make your changes and press ctl/enter to jump to the end.
For the report entry form,
basically the same format although you must select the first
option and assign a 'set name' to the report in order to get labels
on the left side of the report. THEN you can follow the same
directions as above for the rest of the options (add/change/del).
*** It should be noted that the deletion form will NOT be the
entire form, but will only be the first day's fields.
*** Note also that to skip a day, or to skip to the end of a day,
you can hit ctl/enter.
*** Erasing of any field should be done with the backspace key.
The registration fee for this program is $17.50 and receipts
WILL BE PROVIDED since this program may be tax deductible
and/or expensible. You will be mailed a copy of the program,
docs and a version which will run on a hard drive.
