REMENU: Reminders is a perpetual calendar that is coupled with a
tickler file for activities, and dates, that are important to
you. All date reminders are organized on month and day of date.
Enter a date for a birthday, anniversary, or accounting deadline
once - that date reminder will then be shown on the correct day
of the week year after year. Ten codes (0 - 9) are used to group
each reminder under specific headings: 0=hold open, 1=closed,
2=holiday, 3=deadline, 4=appointment, 5=meeting, 6=other,
7=birthday, 8=anniversary, and 9=special (these titles are user
modifiable). Display reminders by date, code, date range, code

SYSTEM INITIALIZATION:
----------------------
Make the directory that you loaded 'REMENU.EXE' program module in
your current directory.
Enter: REMENU <return>
The first time you load 'REMENU.EXE' you identify the
disk drive that your data files are to reside on and you are
provided the opportunity to personalize your system. At the end
of this 'Initialization' of your system the file 'REMVBLS.MEM' is
created. This file contains your personalization and signifies
that your system is installed. If you ever wish to re-initialize
your system just delete the file 'REMVBLS.MEM' and the next time
you load REMENU you will enter the initialization cycle.
Until you register your copy of 'REMENU' you are limited to
entering only 200 date reminders. You are also displayed a screen
describing the sharware concept. After 30 days a screen to remind
you to register your copy of 'REMENU'.
Upon receipt of your registration number these screens will no
longer be displayed to you AND YOUR 200 DATE LIMIT IS REMOVED.
There are still another hidden feature that I will tell you about
when you send in your registration.
SYSTEM NORMAL USE:
------------------
Make the directory that you loaded 'REMENU.EXE' program module
in your current directory.
Enter: REMENU <return>
Select from the menu the function you wish to perform.
1) Maintenance - this set of functions will allow you to add new,
change, delete, display by specific code, or display by specific
date. (Note - When you request the (C)hange or (D)elete
functions you will be provided the option to list the reminders
in either code or date sequence starting with a specific range.
From this display you then select the reminder you wish to
perform the selected function on. In this manner you do not have
to remember the exact code and date of the reminder you wish to
perform maintenance on.)
2) You can see an entire months reminders, in summary, by
requesting the option to display the calendar for a given date.
(Remember - all reminders are maintained in the primary sequence
of month and day, year is ignored.) In this manner a birthday
only needs to be setup once and it will always be shown on the
correct day of the week no matter what year it is. While in the
calendar display you can display all reminders for a given day by
simply entering the day to display.
3) Display/List - this composite set of functions allows you to
either display, or list to the printer, reminders for a given
date/code range. If you list to the printer the top of the first
page of listing will print miniature calendars for three months,
the first month is the starting month of the range requested.
This listing is ideal for news letters for clubs,
etc.
4) System utilities - This set for functions will allow you to
rebuild your data file indexes, modify the code descriptors used
to group your reminders, select a different date format, modify
your personalization information, and print your registration
form.
