To create a data file, be sure you have a blank formatted disk,
and insert it into the drive you wish to use. Enter the drive
letter (A, B, C, etc.), and a directory name for your file. If
the directory name is not entered, your data file will be placed
in the root directory of your drive specified. A normal data file
will use about 200 to 300 kilobytes of space in one year. If you
are using a 360K byte disk (most 5 1/4 disk are 360K) it is not
advisable to put your data files on you program disk. If,
however, you are using a 720K floppy or greater, or your data
file is on your hard disk, then the data file can be stored on
the program disk.
