  7.           What to do first:

  9.                 1) MAKE A BACK-UP OF THIS DISK!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  11.                 2) READ THE MANUAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  13.                 3) Start the program by typing  MONEY at the command 
  14.           prompt. 
  15.            
  16.                 4)  To see how the program operates use the sample data 
  17.           files  by  accepting  the default values for  the  data  file 
  18.           names.  
  19.  
  20.                 5)  Alternatively,  you can mess around with dummy data 
  21.           files  by  pressing ESC to clear the  file  name prompt, then 
  22.           enter a data file name. DO NOT INCLUDE FILE EXTENSIONS IN THE 
  23.           FILE NAME.

  25.                 6)  DON'T FORGET TO ENTER THE INITIAL AND CURRENT MARKET 
  26.            DATA WHEN YOU BEGIN A NEW PORTFOLIO.   DON'T FORGET TO UPDATE 
  27.            THE CURRENT MARKET DATA EVERY TIME YOU MAKE A TRANSACTION  OR 
  28.            RECORD STOCK PRICES.

  30.                 7)  The "PANIC BUTTON" is the F1 key.  Pressing this key 
  31.            when  prompted by an inverse video prompt  to enter data will 
  32.            cancel that function  and exit you from that section  (try it 
  33.            and you'll see what I mean).

  35.              ** 8)   Users of previous versions BEWARE!!!  After version 
  36.            2.0,  new datafile formats were used.   Versions 1.0  through 
  37.            1.2 are not compatible with versions 2.0 and above.

  39.                10) The rest of the program is very  self  explanatory.  
  40.           Follow  the on-screen prompts and you should have no  problem 
  41.           using the program.   Whenever the computer beeps,  that means 
  42.           you did something wrong.  Be very careful how you enter data.  
  43.           If all else fails, re-read the manual.
