Welcome to LOTTO, the complete lotto management system by Miller-Ware
Development. This program is distributed in two versions: first as
licensed User Supported Software (SHAREWARE),and second as a licensed,
REGISTERED program. The Shareware version of LOTTO is NOT a crippled
program. It is a fully functional lotto management program. It was
not crippled because it is our belief you can not fully test a crippled
program, and we want to make LOTTO by Miller-Ware the most popular
LOTTO program ever. We believe most people who use LOTTO will find it
useful, and will register their programs. This is the foundation of
the Shareware concept and what makes personal computing so exciting.
This Shareware version is provided to you under a limited license
agreement. IT IS NOT PUBLIC DOMAIN or FREEWARE. You do not own the
program. You are granted a limited license to use the software for
limited, private evaluation purposes only. This limited evaluation
period is not to execeed 30 calendar days. This period is calculated
as 30 calendar days from the day you first obtain a copy. Bonafide
Shareware distributors, user groups, and SYSOP's of Bulletin Boards
refer to the USER GROUPS/SHAREWARE DISTRIBUTORS/BBS SYSOP's section of
this file for additional information. The registered version may not
be copied, replicated, duplicated, transmitted or otherwise distributed
in any way without the expressed written permission of Miller-Ware
Development. Any deviation from these terms is a violation of your
licensing rights and may subject you to legal penalties.
Once you have evaluated the program and decide to continue to use it,
you are expected to purchase a REGISTERED version. This registered
version will provide you with many benefits. The Registered version
is fully functional, and has limited advertising. Registered licensees
will receive notice of updates, and revisions and will be provided with
user support. The registration fee is $ 20.00 ($ 10.00 for upgrades)
(Florida residents add 6% sales tax). See HOW TO REGISTER for complete
information.
LOTTO by Miller-Ware is protected by U.S. Copyright law. Because of
its shareware status, you are allowed and encouraged to make copies
of the shareware version to give to other people. However, it may
not be dissembled or resold (either modified or unmodified) without the
expressed written permission of Miller-Ware Development.
As an added feature, LOTTO comes with data files which contain the
history for the Florida PICK-6 and FANTASY 5 lottos from inception.
Hopefully, as people load the lotto history for other lottos, they
will make it available through bulletin boards or send it to us so
we may make it available to all.

█ FEATURES █
█ █
█▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄█
LOTTO by Miller-Ware is a Total Lotto Management System. It may be
set-up to manage ANY state's lotto by using the SET-UP PROFILES
MODULE. Within a state, any number of lottos may be set-up and
tracked. This allows for the mmanagement of multiple lotto's
within the same state to be simultaneously profiled and managed.
The limits on the number separates lottos which may be tracked is
only limited by the memory and disk space of your computer.
Another feature of LOTTO is its ability to limit the database it
utilizes to perform statistical analysis and to generate lotto
picks. The records within the historical database are numbered.
In the Statistical Module, you may limit records to utilize for
all analysis. Any combination will work. If you want to look at
the trends for only the last 4 weeks of lotto, just select only
those records and the system does the rest. The default setting
is the entire historical database, yet once changed in the Statistical
Module, your last selection will also be used to generate your lotto
picks when the selections are based on historical data (ie. HOT, COLD,
ODD/EVEN etc.) To utilize the entire database again merely re-enter
the Statistical Module and select the entire database.
Lotto allows for number selection based on many number selection
algorithms, (ie, Hot, Cold, Odd, Even, and combinations of the
above). There is also a Special (Secret) Algorithm for the truly
serious Lotto-phile. These algorithms utilize the historical
database records you have defined in the Statistical Module as
explained above.
Lotto is also extremely user friendly. Throught the use of pop-up
windows all the information and flexability you require are only a
keypress away.
Ease of use, flexability, and the features you expect without
sacrificing any of the power or graphics you expect in your software.
This is what makes LOTTO by Miller-Ware a step ahead of all the rest.

PC user groups, shareware distribution companies, and BBS SYSOPS
are welcome to include LOTTO by Miller-Ware (Shareware Version)
in their libraries/catalogs under the following conditions:
1) it must be completely unmodified;
2) no other program may be on the same disk, except for a small
shareware introductory file or a shareware menu system;
3) LOTTO may not be used to advertise any other product without
the expressed written permission of Miller-Ware Development;
4) a diskette/copying fee of $8 or less is charged; and
5) as a minimum, all of the following files MUST be included;
The files are:
LOTTO.EXE The Main Program File
README.DOC This documentation file
ORDER.DOC The order form to register your copy
CATALOG.DOC A catalog of other Miller-Ware Software
PICK-610.DAT The History of the Florida Lotto Pick-6
FANT-510.DAT The History of the Florida Fantasy 5
Other history file supplied as part of the original package
shhould also be included.
We would appreciate notification that you have added LOTTO by
Miller-Ware to your library.
We would also like you to assist us by adding to your libraries and
databases historical lotto information not currently included
with LOTTO. In this way, we can all help each other, and maybe
someone we know will win the BIG prize.

█ █
█▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄█
Minimum System requirements:
IBM PC/XT/AT, PS/2 or 100% compatible
256K memory
1 diskette drive
DOS version 2.1 or higher
During execution, LOTTO writes to the default drive. You must allow
a minimum of 10K free space to start. This requirement will increase
as more historical databases are added and they increase in size.
The program and files may be copied to a subdirectory on the hard
disk.
LOTTO is set up by the use of set-up profiles. Each time you use Lotto you
must either select an existing profile or create a new set-up profile.
Multiple profiles may be created. Each profile contains personal
information, as well as information establishing the parameters of the
particular lotto controlled by that profile. When finished answering the
questions, save the profile to disk for later recall.
LOTTO comes with the history for the Florida Pick-6 and Fantasy 5
lottos. To use these databases, run the set-up program. When asked
the lotto information, answer as follows for each of the lottos:
Pick-6 Fantasy 5
-------- -----------
Lower Limit 1 1
Upper Limit 49 39
Numbers Chosen 6 5
Lotto Title PICK-6 FANT-5
Numbers Repeat? N N (No)
State to Set-up for 10 10 (Florida)
After you have set-up, save the profile and you are ready to go.
The data is available for you to use in the other modules.
The data for the Pick-6 and the Fantasy 5 are from inception. The
through date is the latest available when this program was placed
in distribution. To see the last date of data, view the information
(or print it) in the Historical Module.
The historical data is saved in separate file, by lotto. The format
of the file name tells you which data it contains. All historical data
files have the extension .DAT. The filename has 2 parts. The first
is the Lotto Title (the name you gave it in the Set-up procedure), the
second part is the state number (shown during set-up). Therefore, the
historical database file for Florida's Fantasy 5 is FANT-5 + 10.DAT or
FANT-510.DAT. Hopefully, this information will make it possible for
people to share databases (via BBS's etc). You can load any historical
data file created with Miller-Ware's LOTTO into your copy for use and
update by you.

█ LOTTO NUMBER SELECTION OPTIONS █
█ █
█▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄█
LOTTO contains many options to aid you in the selection of winning
lotto numbers. Remember, all selection options use the historical
database as limited in the Statistical Module. The record numbers
last selected, remain in effect for all except the Exclusive Algorithm
strategy. An explanation of each of the available options
follows:
Number Selection Options
------------------------
WHEELING: This allows you to select one or more numbers, then the
computer will select the the balance. Do not confuse this with boxing.
In a lotto game, the order is irrelevant.
CHANGE NUMBER OF TICKETS: This option allows you to select the
numbers for more than one lotto ticket (panel) at a time. This is
useful to allow the computer to take full advantage of your selection
strategies by giving you up to five tickets with varying numbers.
Selection Strategies Available
------------------------------
HOT NUMBERS: If you believe a hot number is the best bet, select
this. This strategy selects numbers from the most frequently
selected numbers.
COLD NUMBERS: If you believe numbers are which haven't come out yet
or have only been drawn a few times are due, this is your strategy,
for this selects numbers from the least selected numbers.
COMBINATION - HOT/COLD: This if for the person who believes there is
no one good way to select numbers. The numbers are selected from
the hottest and coldest numbers.
HOT - ODD/EVEN: If you believe in an odd/even influence on selections,
look here. First a decision as to whether odd or even is hot is made.
Then, the hot odd or even numbers (depending on whether odd or even
are hot) are selected.
COLD - ODD/EVEN: As above, this strategy considers the influence of
odd/even trends. This time it matches cold numbers with cold
odd/even trends.
EXCLUSIVE ALGORITHMS: This is a Miller-Ware exclusive selection
strategy, which includes random numbers, generated by using the
set-up information as a function of the sum total of all human
knowledge. Good luck!
