  3. The following information tells you what IDEA TREE
  4. is about and how to start the installation process.

  6.                   Mind over what matters
  7.  
  8. IDEA TREE is a unique thinking tool which gives you total
  9. control over the examination and expansion of your thoughts
  10. on any subject.  Start out with a general concept.  IDEA
  11. TREE then helps you sift it into its components, into the
  12. elements that need to be individually considered, the
  13. resources required, the actions to be taken.  Or brainstorm
  14. your way at first, and let IDEA TREE catch the pieces and
  15. organize them into clearly defined, workable thought.

  17.                A powerful brainstorming tool

  19. IDEA TREE lets you structure your ideas as a tree.  This
  20. tree is a graphic representation of the decomposition of
  21. your thinking into finer and finer levels of detail.  Add
  22. ideas to the tree anywhere, then rearrange and reorganize
  23. them later, as you change your mind and new thoughts take
  24. shape.

  26.                   Create windows of focus

  28. You can focus on the development of one part of an idea by
  29. identifying a selection of related elements in an Idea Tree
  30. and then making them into a separate tree.  You can then
  31. work on this isolated area without the distraction of the
  32. rest of your original tree.  When you are finished, you can
  33. either move or copy this new tree back into the original.

  35.               Document ideas and idea groups

  37. You can attach up to 1200 characters of notation to an
  38. individual idea.  A note stays with an idea as you move or
  39. copy it from one place to another.  You can add to or
  40. modify a note at any time.  You can also export notes to
  41. your favorite word-processing program and format them any
  42. way you want.

  46. IDEA TREE's uses are limited only by your imagination.  At
  47. home, you can create a tree that organizes a party down to
  48. the last paper hat, manages the design and construction of
  49. a new room on your house, or details and assigns job
