  3.               DOCUMENTATION FOR THE HOME BUDGET (FAMILY BUDGET)

  7. The program was written to assit in maintaining a home budget. The reports have
  8. been designed to inform at a glance where goals have been achieved.
  9. To use the system just type BUDGET at the prompt. You are then presented with
  10. a menu to guide you through the  system.
  11. There are two ways to enter data into the system.
  12. The first method is to personally keep track of all expenses for the month then
  13. in one sitting enter income and expenditures for the month into the system,
  14. using option 5  "ENTER FINAL MONTHLY EXPENSES".
  15. The second method is to enter expenses and income as they are obtained.
  16. This is done by using option 3 "INPUT INTERIM EXPENSES". The system thus saves
  17. the data in a temporary location. At the end of the month use "ENTER FINAL
  18. EXPENSES" option. Type the month of the year when asked. The system will save
  19. both final expenses and interim expenses under the particular month.
  20. Income and expenses from previous entries are used to generate a running total
  21. therefore enter every month to keep the system happy.
  22. To view data in the temporary location use option 4 "CHECK INTERIM EXPENSES".
  23. To print the summary of a particular month select option 1 "PRINT A MONTHLY
  24. SUMMARY". And finally to view a monthly summary select option 2 "VIEW A MONTHLY
  25. SUMMARY".

  27. This program runs perfectly well on both my computer at home and at work. It
  28. has been tested by my wife and also a few friends. Having said that, if the
  29. software does not perform as described, my liability to you is limited to
  30. replacing the software or refunding the purchase price (if purchased and duly
  31. registered). I have no liability to you or any other person or entity for any
  32. damage or loss, including special, incidental or consequential damages, caused
  33. by this software, directly or indirectly.
