  2. NUMBER OF PAYMENTS FIELD

  4. The Number of Payments Field is where you enter the Total Number of Payments
  5. to be made over the life of the loan.  For example, if payments are to be made
  6. monthly for 10 years, then enter 120 in this field (10 years times 12 months
  7. per year).  The field must be numeric, and may contain up to 4 digits.

  10. PAYMENT AMOUNT FIELD

  12. The Payment Amount Field is used to enter the Exact Amount of the Periodic
  13. Payment.  The field must be numeric with a decimal point allowed.  This field
  14. will commonly be left blank to allow the program to calculate the Exact
  15. Payment Amount.

  18. OUTPUT OPTION FIELD

  20. The Output Option Field is used to indicate whether the Amortization Schedule
  21. is to be displayed on the Screen, printed on your Printer, or output to an
  22. ASCII File on your Hard Disk or a Floppy Diskette.  Enter "S" for Screen
  23. Display, "P" for Printer, or "D" for Disk ASCII File output.

  26. DISK FILE NAME FIELD

  28. This message appears when the "D" option is selected to the Output Option
  29. Field.  A default File Name is displayed in the reply field.  You may either
  30. select the default by pressing ENTER, or overtype a new name into the field.
  31. Disk and Directory names may be used, for example, "C:\AMORT\JONES.LN1".
  32. The Amortization Schedule will be output to the file indicated.  The DOS rules
  33. for File Names must be followed.

  36. SCREEN VERIFICATION FIELD

  38. After the Output Option Field has been entered, the message "ARE ALL ENTRIES 
  39. CORRECT? (Y/N)" appears at the bottom of the screen.  If you reply "Y", the 
  40. program assumes all entries are correct and proceeds with outputting the 
  41. Amortization Schedule.  If you reply "N" or just press ENTER, the cursor is
  42. returned to the top of the Loan Input Screen to allow corrections.
