- Here's a simle animated flag object for Imagine.. The flag flaps in the
- wind, and has the picture/brush 'Flag.pic' mapped on each object. It was
- done using Terrain (obviously), and converted to Imagine objects. Sure,
- it's something you can probably do yourself if you have the resources, but
- this way it's done for you and can save you a few hours. To have the flag
- wave for more than 15 frames:
-
- Enter the action editor (script area).
- Change the total amount of frames to your liking (Divisible by 15 for
- a looping anim).
- Click in the frame 16/actor section twice. Select the desired flag object.
- Continue above line until all frames are accounted for. (The actor changes
- to the next higher 'NewFlag.#' object to animate the flag)
-
- You can save any brush or picture to the name 'Flag.pic' in the
- 'Flag.imp/brushes' dir to use your own pics for mapping on the flag. I
- threw in the American Flag for good measure.
-
- I wanted to use the cycle editor to make a cycle object of the flapping
- flag so that changing the actor every frame wouldn't be needed, but it turns
- out that assinging objects to points in the cycle editor can only be done on
- the first key cell. Oh well, maybe in a future version of Imagine. Till
- next time!
