SATELLITE DELIVERED USERNET NEWS FEED
──────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
ASR has now become the sole distributor of the PageSat Satellite
Usernet News Feed.
What is it?
-----------
The Usernet Satellite News Feed allows a user to receive a satellite
delivered full news feed with all news hierarchies. This system
receives a continuous news feed 24-hours a day.
Broadcast area
--------------
The Usenet News Feed Service covers the continuental U.S., southern
Canada and northern Mexico. There is no coverage for Hawaii (sorry
Thayne)
What you will receive
---------------------
An average to 45-50 megabytes of news per day, 7 days a week, 24 hours
a day. At the recieve end, the user is equipped with a PCSAT (tm) .45
cm Ku-Band antenna and LNB (low noise blockconvertor).
A high quality RG-59 coax cable is attached to the LNB and brought
indoors to a PCSAT (tm) 300 Satellite Receiver. A standard 4-conductor
wire is run from the receiver to the UDI-200 Universal Data Interface,
a special modem that demodulates the data, converting if from sync to
