  17. REVIEW : Monkey Island is a classic graphical adventure game, which 
  18. uses the well known SCUM 2 interface, which is very user friendly.
  19.  
  20. Monkey Island introduced me to adventure games on my Amiga (don't 
  21. swear), and since then I have been hooked. 
  22.      
  23. One thing I'd like to point out is that Monkey Island has a very 
  24. pleasant CD soundtrack (reggae), but has no speech like the box says 
  25. "full talkie", I have phoned LUCAS ARTS up and they said it doesn't 
  26. have speech in the game only text, which is a bit unfair.  I have 
  27. removed my sticker off the box which says full Talkie, I don't know 
  28. if all the copies have this on them, if they do it is very unfair and 
  29. misleading.

  31. Any way on with the review, Monkey Island is very user friendly and 
  32. is one of these adventure games were you can't die.

  34. The story is that you are a young adventurer named Gubrush Threepwood 
  35. and have come to Melee Island to become a fierce, swashbuckling, 
  36. blood thirsty pirate.  However before you can become a pirate you 
  37. must complete 3 trials before you are accepted as a pirate.  
  38.      
  39. As you progress into the game your character falls in love governess
  40. Marley, who gets captured by an evil ghost pirate named LE CHUCK, 
  41. making Guybrush work out how to rescue her, but where is Monkey 
  42. Island and how do you get there ?, all will be revealed.

  44. The final vote for monkey Island is 7.5/10 as it is a very 
  45. entertaining game.

  47. If you like this game and want more then don't get depressed Monkey
  48. Island 2 is available for £16.99 along with other classic adventure 
  49. games such as Loom, space quest and police quest.  All these games 
  50. are available on the KIXX label.
