Barry Jones You are probably wondering: What the hell does he mean Terminator 2 in Amos? Well, I'll explain. Until recently my amos programs were using the crap sound fx which is in Amos, You know, those Bell, Boom and Shoot commands, After a while they begin to sound pretty bad. Then I had a brainwave, lets get some better sound effects, My first idea was to put some dynamite in a double decker bus and sample the explosion with my old tape recorder and Microphone. This idea was a bad one, if I had, I would have gone to prison and no more Amos coding : - ( How many of you have seen good action films like Terminator 2 ? Most of you I should think. Why not get samples from them? I used to do this by holding a microphone to the TV loudspeaker, not a good way of getting samples. All you need to get some excellent samples is: A video, a sound sampler, a lead with a scart plug on one end and two phono plugs on the other, and some good films.
