Here we go with details of latest editions to the library..
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Disk 566: Odds 'n' Sods - A couple of Product demos and some
music on here; we have demos of the excellent
drivin' game DRIVIN' FORCE from DMS. Also a demo
(in the form of a mini slideshow with soundFX) of
Gainstars forthcoming Adventure Dragon Quest -
Looks very good, and recently got 82% in CU. We
also have 3 excellent pieces of Music, un-
fortunately the original disk they were supplied
on was corrupt so I do not know who wrote them!
Needless to say they are very good indeed! In fact
I would class the second one as my favourite piece
of amiga music EVER! Very funky, very 70's very...
original, especially for the Amiga!
from French group The Demons. Good presentation,
graphics and more importantly 5 great tunes!
to us!
don't say!!) Features 8 great Soundtracker tunes
by the IKS. Void Vision, Tune 14, Vagu 4,
Tangerine, Tune 17, If I could fly, Pure Bit Not
Set, Tune 13. As per norm nowadays you also get
a demo backing the music.
Disk 572: VideoClips, done specially for 17Bit by our good
mate the Cheapo Geordie (AKA Steve Heley), 4
digitised sequences (in B&W) from: Erasure (The
Innocents), Beverley Hills Cop 2 (Playboy Mansion)
Kylie Minogue (Videos 2) and last but definately
NOT least a rather tasty looking girl from the
only TV program to beat Magiver in the Unbelieve-
abilty stakes, BAYWATCH!! All the action is backed
by a HCC Erasure Remix. Works fine on half meg
machines. Thanks to Cheapo for sending it in!
through the hi-fi.. AciudHouse, Soft Madrass,
Midi-Lover, Paradise, Sputnic, Red Friday (a rip
off of quite a well known New Order song!)
tune use arrow keys Up and DOWN, press RETURN
repeatedly to load!
Disk 574: Flash HIT THE ROAD. A 2 disk megademo from FLASH
Productions. 9 Great parts featuring some great
graphics and sound.
Disk 575: Disk 2 of HIT THE ROAD, requires disk 574 to run.
Disk 576: Digital Concert2, from FLASH Productions. Yet
another disk from FLASH (these guys must be really
fast coders!)This time a massive 12 minute 41
seconds long Soundtracker megamix, very good
indeed. Just the one tune on the disk, backed by
an impressive demo/scrolltext.
Disk 577: The Sun Connection Slideshow. 10 impressive pieces
of Amiga Art backed by a lovely super soothing
tune (aaahhh very relaxing!!). Includes a few Ray
Lantern, Pencil, Edam, Flower, Goblet Of Balls
Disk 582: Gate Music Disk. A nice refreshing change with
this disk as it ignores all the usual styles of
Amiga Music (a la SoundTracker) and makes its own
slower paced music. Using really clear well
sampled new instruments this is an ideal disk for
those of you who'd like to hear a different style
of Amiga music. Songs on the disk are: Hipster,
SlidePick, Avernus, Rumppa & Overhud.
Disk 583: The Busy Bee Animation, featured in the library a
irrepairable disk error, well thanks to an
anonymous member we have this brilliant animation
hours to render!!!
MUST FOR ONE MEG OWNERS!!! This superb animation
has a "Out Run" style view point and features, in
FULL 3D, a cop car chasing a red lotus down the
road, both cars weave in and out of the other
oncoming cars (which are also animated!) Tobias
Richter has excelled himself with this one, the
attention to detail is superb, the flashing lights,
brake lights, spinning wheels, shadows, the lines
on the road, EVERYTHING! One of the best, original
Trek animation featuring various Start Trek ships
flying round the screen in their own manner.
It's alive - a line drawing of the enterprise comes
alive and flys away from the paper! More great anims
for all you trekkies out there!
Disk 594: Elvira (Mistress Of The Dark) DEMO. Running demo of
the forthcoming Horrorsoft game featuring Miss
Elvira and her "assets" (ehem). This game is going
to be a sort of Adventure/RPG type game where the
aim is to rescue Said temptress from her capturers,
the graphics look extremely impressive and in parts
are quite gruesome (so don't watch if you are
squeemish!) also has some sampled atmnospheric spot
effects and a tadge of Sampled speech from Elvira
herself, though it sounds as though she is doing
her Shy Postman impression and none of us can
actually make out what she says... This is a very
good demo and fans of this type of game should be
well impressed.
Disk 595: THE STAR TREK GAME! Brilliant 2 disk game from the
ultimate trekkie Thobias Richter, designer of all
the AGATRON Start Trek animations, and part of the
team that brought us Oil Imperium, Thobias has now
released his latest game into the Public Domain.
Featuring Brilliant (as you'd expect) graphics and
sampled sound this has you on a journey where no
man has ventured before, a journey into space (The
final frontier etc etc) where you must carry out a
series of missions, search out various planets,
avoid the enemies ships, Captain your ship and
ensure the safe keeping of your staff. The whole
thing is very well put together, but the instructions
are in German so it may take a while for you to sort
things out. Works fine in half-meg, but one meg owners
get added extra sound effects.
Disk 597: Seriously Good Music Disk 1, An excellent YELLO
remix by 17 Bit member Bill Turner, featuring loads
of clear samples this is extremely well put together
go bananas over this one... Also on the disk is a
Tune called Fifteen, Fourteen and twenty seconds.
Seventeen minute house mix by the master of amiga
House, the BeatMaster! Features new house samples
Disk 603: Intros/Music disk - 4 great demos and 3 pieces of
music for you to enjoy! Demos come courtesy of
song I admit to liking!!) and a brilliant original
piece by 4-Mat called In The Shadow Of The Sun.
Disk 604: "RubADubDub" X rated disk featuring 5 bouncy, bubbly,
voluptious ladies doing things they normally only
do in private but this time they did it for a famous
Adult Video and were transferred to the Amiga for
your enjoyment... The whole thing was grabbed using
a Real time frame grabber then animated using Deluxe
Paint3. Obviously the subject matter may be offensive
to some (especially our female members) so if you're
of thing this ones a MUST!! Many thanks to Gary Tinsley
from a 17Bit member in Germany (unfortunately you
didn't sign your name on the letter, so whoever you
520 levels of St related sprites (spinning ST logos
etc), and there are several various levels of play
so you can make the game as easy or as difficult
