  4. Disc  23: EMPIRE a stratedgy game on a grand scale.
  5.           Contains no graphics as it is a port over
  6.           from IBMs etc and has no sound either.
  7.           Lots of instructions, requires lots of
  8.           time and runs through the CLI.
  9.  
  10. Disc  24: HACK - The first version of the incredibly
  11.           playable rpg. A bit like dungeonmaster in
  12.           plan view. Only small icon graphics but
  13.           the game plays very well as you pilot your
  14.           way through the rankings and through the
  15.           dungeon levels to find the amulet. Once 
  16.           found you then have to proceed back through
  17.           the levels and escape. Great fun.
  18.  
  19. Disc  44: This is a playable demo of Star Ray (the 1st
  20.           level) a game very reminiscent to Defender.
  21.           Ultra fast smooth scrolling and good gameplay.
  22.           Commercial version available for 24.95 rrp
  23.           The bootblock on this disc may be highlighted
  24.           as SCA virus by some virus detectors, it is not
  25.           and will not spread or cause any harm. If it
  26.           is removed the game will not work. Will NOT work
  27.           On Issue 1.3 machines.
  28.  
  29. Disc  71: This disc contains a selection of games, 2 
  30.           written with Abasic (supplied as well).
  31.           Features: Amoeba Invaders (Brilliant space
  32.           invaders game) Tron Cycles game, Cluedo 
  33.           (great adaption of the board game),Monopoly,
  34.           Klondike (great cards patience game) and
  35.           Missile Command.
  36.  
  37. Disc  83: An excellent playable PD game here, one of
  38.           the best PD games existing! Basically resembles
  39.           the sucessful 'Thrust' type game. You have a
  40.           small craft which you have to move around a
  41.           set of obstructions and collect keys in order
  42.           to reach the next level, of which there are 17.
  43.           Play is by keyboard but doesnt detract from a
  44.           really addictive game which most people get
  45.           more out of than some commercial releases.
  46.  
  47. Disc 133: This disc contains a really good playable demo
  48.           of Shanghai the chinese tiles/patience game.
  49.           Also included is the user-definable COSMO
  50.           (Asteroids) game which is very good. There are
  51.           also some Flight Simulator 2 information files
  52.           which add extra fun and clues to new locations.
  53.  
  54. Disc 135: Games disc featuring Backgammon,Cosmo,Missile
  55.           Command,Tunnel Vision,3D Breakout (needs 3d
  56.           glasses) and Cosmo Version II.
  57.  
  58. Disc 149: Moria - The great RPG has been speeded up and 
  59.           generally made much more playable. This is 
  60.           version III and tweaks include nice inter-level
  61.           graphics. A must for 1meg adventure fans, this
  62.           game is SO playable!! A little bit like Hack and
  63.           Larn but more involved, offers HOURS of gameplay
  64.           for 1meg users...
  65.  
  66. Disc 159: Games Disc containing Asteriods,Backgammon,
  67.           Egyptian Run,Gravity Wars,IFF2Pcs. Iff2pcs
  68.           is a diy jigsaw puzzle, just add your own
  69.           16color iff file and hey-presto!
  70.  
  71. Disc 173: Features Chess, Othello, an Adventure Creator,
  72.           and Space Ace demo.. amongst other utilities.
  73.           The Chess game is characters only but I am
  74.           told it plays quite a strong game.. but not
  75.           being a chess player I couldnt put that to the
  76.           test.
  77.  
  78. Disc 174: Contains a version of the Collosal cave 
  79.           adventure game by Crowther and Woods. Includes
  80.           some utilities (check utilities section for 
  81.           listing of these).
  82.  
  83. Disc 175: Larn. A great rpg in the style of Hack but with
  84.           more features and superb gameplay. Once 'into'
  85.           it you play for HOURS! One of our favourite PD
  86.           discs yet. Great for RPG fans, works fine in
  87.           512K and is highly reccomended. Poor graphics
  88.           no sound but really playable!
  89.  
  90. Disc 204: Buggy Commando. A playable demo rather like the
  91.           old Moon Alert/Moon Buggy games, control your
  92.           buggy over obstacles.Featured in The One.
  93.  
  94. Disc 282: Paranoid Game. Very good Pd arkanoid clone that
  95.           even includes a screen designer. Good value for
  96.           a Pd game. Of german origin.
  97.  
  98. Disc 307: 3 Games by Agatron, Mad Race, Space Race and 
  99.           Light Cycles 3D (a nice version of Tron in 3D 
  100.           by Tobias Richter). Also included are a 3D 
  101.           object editor called Viking,
  102.           IFFload and IFF-C utilities, Taskmanager, 
  103.           Selector and Blinker (a utility to flash the 
  104.           power led).

  106. Disc 309: The 1meg Star Trek game featured just about all
  107.      310: over the place. Its on 3 discs and plays close 
  108.      311: to the St commercial version ie not brilliant 
  109.           but for Trekkies and sci-fi fans its good value. 
  110.           Remember you will need all 3 discs and this will
  111.           set you back 6.95 Live long as prosper.
  112.  
  113. Disc 355: A nice playable demo of Blood Money by Pysgnosis,
  114.           one of the better shoot`em ups to appear in a 
  115.           long while (actually we werent too keen until 
  116.           we played it, its very addictive!) this demo 
  117.           allows 1 or 2 players (simultaneous) to play the
  118.           first level. Good demo. Great Game!
  119.  
  120. Disc 369: HACKLITE. The lastest version of Hack sent by
  121.           Rhys of Compunet (ta!) this version sees added
  122.           features, better speed and a new install program
  123.           that allows easy set-up onto Hard-drives,or any
  124.           other device you can think of! Hack is a really
  125.           playable game, especially if you like RPG games.
  126.  
  127. Disc 370: Anyone for Tennis?? This 1meg Tennis game allows
  128.           two people to battle it out on centre court 
  129.           using their joysticks. 
  130.           This german shareware program was sent by a 
  131.           friend of ours, Guido who writes for a 
  132.           German PD magazine. Hi guido - hope the music 
  133.           was ok!
  134.  
  135. Disc 402: Nice playable uridium-style sort of game. Written
  136.           by a german chap. Nice music. Thanks to Guido for
  137.           sending it!
  138.  
  139. Disc 430: A full adventure game by Jim MacBryne - 
  140.           The Golden Fleece, an epic adventure and it has
  141.           a real good parser (that means you can type 
  142.           take everything except the vaseline and rubber
  143.           hose) - Jim Reckons its as good as anything by
  144.           INFOC*M - why not try it out? Thanks must go
  145.           to Jim for submitting it to us!

  147. Disc 445: Castle Of Doom! An adventure game with graphics
  148.           more suitable for the beginner. Simple parser
  149.           and fairly easy going. 
  150.  
  151. Disc 454: Various Games. Includes a really playable of the
  152.           Arcade game "Qix", Blue-Moon which is a card
  153.           patience game, Orbit 3D gravitational shoot em
  154.           up! (??), Wordsearch - gives you random word
  155.           puzzles to attempt.Asteroids - updated version
  156.           with better graphics than the older version.
  157.           Filling up the space is the marvelous Tree Frog
  158.           animation as featured in The One last month.
  159.           (Plus an unlimited supply of plump flies for
  160.           your frog to happily munch on).
  161.  
  162. Disc 483: A demo of the game Xenon 2, contains half of the
  163.           first level and should be enough to convince 
  164.           ANYONE of the sheer quality of this game!
  165.           Due in September rrp 24.95! Bomb the bass music
  166.           included in this demo!
  167.  
  168. Disc 492: A great little game from the German PD sent to me
  169.           by Guido Coenen. It involves taking your man
  170.           (werner) around the screen to collect his beer!
  171.           [Already I like this game] You havent got it easy
  172.           as some guys are chasing you and also you have
  173.           to avoid and maneouvre around falling rocks in
  174.           true bolderdash style. Great for PD!
  175.           
  176. Disc 497: Heres a demo to make your trigger finger itch!
  177.           This is a product demo of "Battle Squadron"
  178.           which is the follow up to Hybris. Featuring 
  179.           full Pal scrolling, twin player simultaneous 
  180.           action, added horizontal scrolling (as in the
  181.           game sidewinder). Great sound, great graphics 
  182.           and probably the most arcade lookalike yet to
  183.           appear. Time to oil your joystick methinks...
  184.  
  185. Disc 498: Another product demo (by the way we will deduct
  186.           a pound off a purchase of the game if you have
  187.           previously had the demo!). This is a demo of
  188.           Ancos playable `Rally Cross` - a 4 player 
  189.           super sprint clone that includes new tracks and
  190.           night driving by headlights. Looks VERY good.
  191.  
  192. Disc 514: Space Ace Demo.
  193.           Readysoft`s follow up to the amazing Dragons Lair
  194.           (remember THE demo 181?) is here and it looks even
  195.           better than the first! Nearly half a minute of top
  196.           notch, near faultless animation from the game.
  197.           PLUS Readysoft have excelled themselves in the
  198.           compression department as they have managed to 
  199.           squeeze a whole host of samples in aswell, 
  200.           including the unforgetable "I`ve only been
  201.           kidnapped by aliens, thats all!" 
  202.           One meg owners get a continous loop of the full 
  203.           demo, Half meg owners can choose between the first
  204.           and second parts.
  205.  
  206. Disc 517: Pictionary Demo from Domark. The Game of quick
  207.           draw makes it onto the Amiga. And heres the demo,
  208.           not playable, just sit back and watch.
  209.  
  210. Disc 522: Interphase Demo. Imageworks latest looks like
  211.           being one of, if not, THE best 3D games yet seen
  212.           on an Amiga. Superb graphics and speed, and a 
  213.           decent plot to boot. A sort of strategy come
  214.           action game that should please most games 
  215.           players out there. Heres a chance to see before
  216.           you buy.
  217.  
  218. Disc 525: Ghostbusters 2 Playable demo. Play one level from
  219.           Activisions megabucks film license. The game is 
  220.           out now so if your interested, try the demo first!
  221.  
  222. Disc 527: MoonWalker Demo. Jacko hits your Amiga! Actually
  223.           this isn`t that bad. A few pieces of animation
  224.           from US Gold`s game of the film of the record
  225.           of the operation of the strange mind. The best bit
  226.           being the grand finale, featuring the infamous 
  227.           spin. ** 1 Meg only **
  228.  
  229. Disc 528: Dragons Breath Demo. The intro and a few stills
  230.           from Palace`s "RolePlaying/Strategy Game of 1990"
  231.           , Anyone who saw the Work in progress feature on
  232.           this game in The One recently would`ve seen the 
  233.           amazing  graphics, now`s your chance to see them 
  234.           for "real" on screen. The whole thing is backed 
  235.           by some very nice atmospheric music.
  236.  
  237. Disc 529: Lets go TOOBIN`, preview of Domarks conversion of
  238.           Atari`s Mega Arcade game, race down the river
  239.           in an inflated innertube, avoiding various 
  240.           nasties along the way. Again, this isn`t playable 
  241.           just sit back and watch.
  242.  
  243. Disc 530: Cinemaware Basketball Slideshow. 8 Pictures from
  244.           Cinemawares forthcoming simulation. More great   
  245.           graphics from one of the leading Amiga Developers
  246.           The game will be coming out sometime in 1990 via
  247.           Mirrorsoft, and if this demo is anything to go by
  248.           , it should be pretty amazing! Just to prove 17Bit
  249.           are THE leading PD suppliers we actually received 
  250.           this demo BEFORE Mirrorsoft even knew one existed!
  251.           How`s that for speed??!! 
  252.  
  253. Disc 532: Future Wars Demo - Delphine Software. Very good
  254.           new demo of Delphines latest Graphic adventure/
  255.           action game. Shows the intro and then cycles
  256.           through a few scenes from the game. 
  257.           Looks tres bon (as the Frenchies would say).   
  258.  
  259. Disc 539: Clownamania Demo from Starbyte. 3D Platform type
  260.           game that casts you as a clumsy clown!! 
  261.           Not Playable, just a rolling demo.
  262.  
  263. Disk 555: X-OUT from Rainbow Arts. Playable demo of the soon
  264.           to be released shoot em up from the German based 
  265.           company. This first level plays very well and the 
  266.           game should be something to look out for! It's a 
  267.           sort of underwater R-Type with loads of extra 
  268.           weapons to blast all the nasty baddies!!
  269.  
  270. Disk 556: The Holy Grail, by Jim MacBrayne. The follow up to 
  271.           The Golden Fleece (Disk 430). Good text only 
  272.           adventure that has you on a quest for..well the 
  273.           Holy Grail! Excellent parser and very well 
  274.           presented a MUST for all adventure fans every
  275.           where! Please note this game requires ONE MEG!
  276.  
  277. Disk 563: After the War - See before you buy autorunning 
  278.           demo of Dinamics latest, a sort of Beat em,
  279.           shoot em or generally do-anything-as-long-as-you 
  280.           kill-em UP! Not playable, just sit back and watch..
  281.  
  282. Disk 566: Odds 'n' Sods - A couple of Product demos and some 
  283.           music on here; we have demos of the excellent 
  284.           drivin' game DRIVIN' FORCE from DMS. Also a demo 
  285.           (in the form of a mini slideshow with soundFX) of 
  286.           Gainstars forthcoming Adventure Dragon Quest - 
  287.           Looks very good, and recently got 82% in CU. We 
  288.           also have 3 excellent pieces of Music, un-
  289.           fortunately the original disk they were supplied 
  290.           on was corrupt so I do not know who wrote them! 
  291.           Needless to say they are very good indeed! In fact 
  292.           I would class the second one as my favourite piece 
  293.           of amiga music EVER! Very funky, very 70's very... 
  294.           original, especially for the Amiga!
  295.  
  296. Disk 594: Elvira (Mistress Of The Dark) DEMO. Running demo of 
  297.           the forthcoming Horrorsoft game featuring Miss 
  298.           Elvira and her "assets" (ehem). This game is going 
  299.           to be a sort of Adventure/RPG type game where the 
  300.           aim is to rescue Said temptress from her capturers,
  301.           the graphics look extremely impressive and in parts 
  302.           are quite gruesome (so don't watch if you are 
  303.           squeemish!) also has some sampled atmnospheric spot 
  304.           effects and a tadge of Sampled speech from Elvira 
  305.           herself, though it sounds as though she is doing 
  306.           her Shy Postman impression and none of us can 
  307.           actually make out what she says... This is a very 
  308.           good demo and fans of this type of game should be 
  309.           well impressed.

  311. Disk 595: THE STAR TREK GAME! Brilliant 2 disk game from the 
  312.           ultimate trekkie Thobias Richter, designer of all 
  313.           the AGATRON Start Trek animations, and part of the 
  314.           team that brought us Oil Imperium, Thobias has now 
  315.           released his latest game into the Public Domain. 
  316.           Featuring Brilliant (as you'd expect) graphics and 
  317.           sampled sound this has you on a journey where no 
  318.           man has ventured before, a journey into space (The 
  319.           final frontier etc etc) where you must carry out a 
  320.           series of missions, search out various planets, 
  321.           avoid the enemies ships, Captain your ship and 
  322.           ensure the safe keeping of your staff. The whole 
  323.           thing is very well put together, but the instructions 
  324.           are in German so it may take a while for you to sort 
  325.           things out. Works fine in half-meg, but one meg owners 
  326.           get added extra sound effects.

  328. Disk 600: AMOS DEMO. Stunning demo of Mandarins forthcoming 
  329.           Game Creator. This disk is a brilliant example of 
  330.           what to expect when AMOS is finally released in 
  331.           May. Shows moving, animated sprites and bobs. 
  332.           Brilliant scrolling routines (Amazing IFF piccy 
  333.           scrolling!) And all from BASIC! Should set the 
  334.           Amiga world alight when it is released. Heres a 
  335.           great chance to whet your appetite! Anyone with 
  336.           any level of interest in proggramming should check 
  337.           this out! IT'S BRILLIANT!!
  338.  
  339. Disk 607: St Bash!! - Great PD space invaders type shoot-em-up 
  340.           from a 17Bit member in Germany (unfortunately you 
  341.           didn't sign your name on the letter, so whoever you 
  342.           are THANKS!) the aim is to blast your way through 
  343.           520 levels of St related sprites (spinning ST logos 
  344.           etc), and there are several various levels of play 
  345.           so you can make the game as easy or as difficult 
  346.           as you want. With all the available options and 
  347.           great playability this will keep you amused for 
  348.           quite a while and should keep your kids quiet for 
  349.           an hour or two!! Better than Amoeba Invaders?? 
  350.           Well, I'll let you make the decision........

  352. Disk 615: Castle Master Slideshow. 15 stills from the 
  353.           forthcoming Incentive/Domark game. The latest game
  354.           to feature Incentives 3D routines known as 
  355.           Freescape - here's a chance for you to see what 
  356.           the game looks like before you part with any cash!
  357.  
  358. Disk 621: E-Motion - Playable demo of U.S. Golds "soon-to
  359.           -be-released" strategy puzzle game. 4 levels are 
  360.           on here for you to test out. Looks very good 
  361.           indeed, ideal for those of you who like to use 
  362.           your old grey matter rather than just sit down 
  363.           and blast!
