  23.    Dig (domain information groper) is a flexible command line tool which
  24.    can be used to gather information from the Domain Name System servers.
  25.    Dig has two modes: simple interactive mode which makes a single query,
  26.    and batch which executes a query for each in a list of several query
  27.    lines. All query options are accessible from the command line.

  33.    The included 2.0.1 distribution (dig.tar) is somewhat dated and only
  34.    explicitly supports a small numer of systems (sun3, sparc, vax,
  35.    microvax, and IBM RT).  Current 2.2 version (ftp-able with BIND)

  57.    Included with dig is doc-2.0.    Doc (domain obscenity
  58.    control) is a program which diagnoses misbehaving domains by
  59.    sending queries off to the appropriate DNS nameservers, and
  60.    performing simple analysis on the responses.  It consists of
  61.    shell and awk scripts that require dig.
