  802. Virtuoso was released as a NeXTSTEP 2.x app, and we didn't include
  803. any 3.0-specific features besides pressure sensitive tablet support
  804. in the initial release. After shipping the product, we received
  805. feedback about the printing issue, and we have immediately responded
  806. by adding 3.0 color support to Virtuoso. We are currently testing
  807. this version, and we will notify all registered users when it is
  808. ready.

  810. With this feature now added, Virtuoso is ideal for NeXTSTEP 2 and 3
  811. users.  Other 3.0-specific features will be added soon, but we do not
  812. have a definite release date for this version yet.

  891. CD-ROM World, published by Meckler Corporation, is naming an
  892. optical disc product of the year for the second time. Last year's
  893. winner was Ethnic Newswatch. For this year's award, any consumer-
  894. oriented optical disc product which was newly released or
  895. substantially revised between March 1992 and March 1993 is eligible
  896. for consideration.

  898. The award will be based on exemplification of the following
  899. qualities.
  900.  
  901.   - Innovation and unique features, especially those which go
  902.         beyond print capabilities
  903.  
  904.   - Success at satisfying the target audience
  905.  
  906.   - Value for cost
  907.  
  908.   - Orientation toward consumers
  909.  
  910.   - Uniqueness and value of data

  912. The award will be presented at Computers in Libraries 1993, which
  913. takes place in Washington DC on March 1-3. The award will also be
  914. featured prominently in a future issue of CD-ROM World.

  916. The deadline for nominations is February 8, 1993. Nomination forms
  917. are available from award judge Pat Ensor, author of CD-ROM Research
  918. Collections. The other judge will be noted CD-ROM authority Paul

  920. to nominate a product should send a copy of the product to Pat
