  8. Q: Things are weird when I cancel a manual-feed job sometimes.  The printer still wants manually-fed paper.\

A: If a manual feed job is cancelled amid job, or maybe when it is the next job in the queue, it does not always leave silently.  If that job has already set the physical state of the printer to fetch via the manual feed, you MUST feed a piece of paper through the manual feed route of the printer in order to progress to the remaining print requests.  The symptoms are: nothing printing, but npd is still running, jobs in the queue, everything else ok (printer lid shut, etc.).  Again, this pertains to a manual feed job that is cancelled.\
