  6.     These Disks contain the Ultimatte
  7. Plugin Modules for Adobe Premiere for Windows 95 and Windows NT.  
  8. There are three PluginÆs, Ultimatte Image Compositer, Ultimatte 
  9. Screen Correction, and Ultimatte Grain Killer.  The three plugin
  10. modules have a .prm file extension.  There are also three help 
  11. files that correspond to each of the plugin modules.  The three
  12. help modules have a .hlp file extension.  Installation of the 
  13. Plugins under both Windows 95 and Windows NT consists of copying 
  14. these three files into the "Plugins" folder of Adobe Premiere.  
  15. The three help files can be copied anywhere on your hard disk.
  16. You might consider putting them into the plugins folder as well.

  18.     Copy these six files from the floppy disk to the plugins 
  19. folder of Adobe  Premiere.

  26.     The Ultimatte plugin modules are protected by a hardware 
  27. key that attaches to the parallel port of your computer.  The 
  28. following section describes how to install the hardware key and 
  29. driver software.

  37. all Sentinel system drivers.  See the appropriate section for the 
  38. procedure about the driver that you are installing.

  55. 1.0     Sentinel key installation

  58.   1.  To install a SentinelPro key, attach it to the parallel
  59.       printer port of an IBM PC/XT/AT or true IBM-compatible 
  60.       computer.  Typically the key is attached to LPT1.

  63. 2.0     Windows NT Driver Installation Procedure
  64. ------------------------------------------------

  66.   1.  Make a backup copy of the diskette.
  67.  
  68.   2.  Under the Microsoft Windows NT Main group, double click 
  69.       on "Command Prompt".
  70.  
  71.   3.  Change drive to the floppy drive contains the Portable 
  72.       Driver Diskette.  In case of the floppy diskette 
  73.       distribution, change the current directory to \WIN_NT.  
  74.       In case of the CD-ROM distribution, change the current 
  75.       directory to \PRODUCT\DRIVERS\WIN_NT.

  77.   4.  Type "INSTALL.BAT" at the command prompt.
  78.       There are two command line options:
  79.         (See the INSTALL.BAT file for examples.)
  80.         1.  /q     Quiet mode.  
  81.                    Normal dialogs described below are not 
  82.            displayed.
  83.                    Error messages are displayed.
  84.         2.  /pxxx  Path, where xxx is the path of files to be 
  85.            installed.
  86.                    Specify the path of files to be installed.
  87.                    Otherwise, files will be copied from the 
  88.            default directory.

  90.   5.  A window with the title bar "Sentinel Driver Setup Program" is
  91.       displayed.
  92.  
  93.   6.  Select "Functions" and then "Install Sentinel Driver" from 
  94.       the menu bar.
  95.  
  96.   7.  A dialog box with the default path for the NT driver is 
  97.       displayed.  Change the drive letter if necessary and 
  98.       click "OK".
  99.  
  100.   8.  The Sentinel Driver and associated files are copied to the 
  101.       hard disk. One of the DLLs, SNTI386.DLL, SNTMIPS.DLL, 
  102.       SNTALPHA.DLL, or SNTPPC.DLL and SENTTEMP.HLP are copied 
  103.       to \%SYSTEMROOT%\SYSTEM32. SENTTEMP.SYS is copied to the 
  104.       file  \%SYSTEMROOT%\SYSTEM32\DRIVERS\SENTINEL.SYS.
  105.       %SYSTEMROOT% is the directory where Microsoft Windows NT 
  106.       has been installed.

  108.   9.  If the driver installation is successful, a dialog box 
  109.       with the message "Sentinel Driver Files Copied 
  110.       Successfully" is displayed.

  112.  10.  When complete, a dialog box with the message "Driver 
  113.       Installed! Restart your system" is displayed.

  115.  11.  Click "OK" to continue.

  121. 2.1     Windows NT Driver Configuration Procedure
  122. -------------------------------------------------
  123. If your system setting has been changed and you would like to 
  124. reconfigure the Sentinel Driver, perform the following steps.
  125.  
  126.   1.  Under the Microsoft Windows NT Main group, double click on
  127.       "Control Panel".
  128.  
  129.   2.  Under the Control Panel double click on "Drivers".
  130.  
  131.   3.  Select "Sentinel for i386 System" in the installed driver 
  132.       list box.
  133.  
  134.   4.  Click the "Setup" button.
  135.  
  136.   5.  Click the "Edit" button to edit an existing parallel port 
  137.       setting or click the "Add" button to add a new parallel 
  138.       port setting.  Select "OK" after you finish the port 
  139.       configuration.

  141.   6.  A dialog box with the message "Your driver setting has 
  142.       changed" is displayed.  You will need to exit and restart 
  143.       Windows NT so that the new setting can take effect."

  145.   7.  If you have any other application running at the 
  146.       background with unsaved data, choose "Don't Restart Now". 
  147.       Quit all the application and restart Windows NT, Otherwise 
  148.       select "Restart Now".

  155.   1.  Under the Microsoft Windows NT Main group, double click on

  180.   Note:  Some files may not be removed until you restart your 
  181.      computer.

  191.       the file SENTW95.EXE in the \WIN_95 subdirectory on the 
  192.       driver diskette.  There are two command line options:

  216.   1.  Start Windows 95.  Select "Run" from the Taskbar and run 
  217.       the file SENTW95.EXE in the WINDOWS\SYSTEM\RNBOSENT 
  218.       subdirectory.

  220.   2.  Select "Configure Sentinel Driver" from the "Functions" 
  221.       menu.

  223.   3.  Click the "Edit" button to edit an existing parallel port 
  224.       setting or click the "Add" button to add a new parallel 
  225.       port setting. Select "OK" after you finish the port 
  226.       configuration.

  228.   4.  Restart Windows 95 for the changes to take effect.

  235.   1.  Start Windows 95.  Select "Run" from the Taskbar and run 
  236.       the file SENTW95.EXE in the WINDOWS\SYSTEM\RNBOSENT 
  237.       subdirectory (or from the original distribution media).  
  238.       The driver can be removed via the command-line options or 
  239.       the pull-down menu.

  241.       a. Command-line options:
  242.            SENTW95 /q /u  -  Quietly removes the existing driver.
  243.  
  244.       b. Pull-down menu:
  245.            Select "Remove Sentinel Driver" from the "Funtion" 
  246.        menu.

  248.   2.  When complete, a dialog box with the message "Sentinel 
  249.       Driver Removed" is displayed.
