  6. -Fixed a bug in WordPerfect (and probably other word processing
  7.  programs) where the "Press OK" option in the LFNsNow! dialogs
  8.  was pressing the wrong button.  In WordPerfect, this results
  9.  in help being displayed.

  11. The following improvements were made in LFNsNow! version 1.2f.
  12.  
  13. - For Win 3.x programs that use the Windows standard common
  14. dialog box for open/save as, LFNsNow! no longer displays an
  15. additional dialog box.  Instead, the same dialog box that you
  16. would see under Win 3.x is displayed except long file names are
  17. displayed in the file and directory list boxes.  When a file name
  18. is selected on open, the long name is displayed in the edit field
  19. and may be opened simply by clicking OK.  On save as, just enter
  20. the long file name and click OK.  You can also select a long name
  21. from the file list and edit that name.

  23. - If LFNsNow! is handling a Windows 3.x common dialog, a
  24. right-mouse click on a file or directory name will bring up a
  25. Windows 95 context menu that allows the normal file operations:
  26. cut, copy, paste, view, delete, rename, properties, etc.

  28. - The context menu will also contain an LFNsNow! properties item
  29. that allows you to specify the LFNsNow! settings for the dialog.
  30. This allows you to use a smaller font or to always display the
  31. LFNsNow! Windows 95 dialog when the Win 3 dialog is displayed.

  33. - The context menu also presents a list of files recently used by
  34. the Windows 3.x program.  If you click on a file name, that file
  35. name will be selected.

  37. - The context menu also presents a list of recently used
  38. directories.  If you click on a directory, you will switch
  39. immediately to that directory.

  41. - If LFNsNow! is handling a Windows 3.x dialog, the file list in
  42. that dialog will immediately reflect changes made by other
  43. Windows programs.  For example, if you rename a file in Explorer,
  44. the new name will immediately appear in your Win 3.x dialog.

  46. - The Create checkbox on LFNsNow! Save As dialogs has been
  47. removed. It is no longer needed.
  48.  
  49. - A new suspend option allows easily turning LFNsNow! off and on
  50. without having to stop the program.  This may be necessary if any
  51. programs are incompatible with LFNsNow!  (Note: this completely
  52. stops LFNsNow! for ALL programs.)

  54. - The activation mechanism has been modified to be more precise,
  55. eliminating most situations where LFNsNow! displays a dialog at
  56. inappropriate times.  When an LFNsNow! dialog should not be 
  57. displayed, you can turn it off just in that case by clearing
  58. the Automatic Display checkbox.

  60. - You can now open multiple files with long file names in the 
  61. Windows 3.x common dialogs.  (You cannot open multiple files
  62. from the LFNsNow! Open and Save As dialogs in this version.)

  64. - The LFNsNow! Windows 95 Open and Save As dialogs have been
  65. improved to better select the correct file types when used with
  66. Microsoft Word and Excel.

  68. - The LFNsNow! dialogs also have these changes: 
  69.  - the Explore button has been replaced with an Options button. 
  70.  - to Explore, right-click on a directory shown in the contents pane. 
  71.  - clicking on Options will bring up a context menu that includes 
  72.    selections for LFNsNow! properties, the list of recently used files, 
  73.    and the list of recently used directories.
