  9. This is the premiere of a new program that we plan to make a recurring feature. Greeting Card lets you make electronic greetings to send to your PC-owning friends, complete with graphics, music, and your own personal message.

We will be publishing Greeting Card with different sets of graphics and sounds for different holidays and occasions.  This time, the theme is Christmas.  (As I write this, it's still pretty hot outside, but our publishing schedule tells us that, by the time this issue reaches subscribers, they will be getting ready for the winter holidays.  Publishing lead times are weird.)

Greeting Card will generate a runnable program file which you can send to people, on disk or by modem, so they can run it and see your greetings.  You may send these files to anyone you wish, but don't send the Greeting Card program itself; it's copyrighted and should not be distributed.  Your friends don't need the original program to run the  and cards; they're runnable as standalone items.  Encourage them to get their own subscriptions to Softdisk PC if they want to send electronic greetings back to you.
