Look and Listen is Softdisk's own hypermedia environment, which allows us to create special presentations of educational or other interest using graphics and text in a non-linear, exploratory fashion. (If you're wondering what the "listen" in the title refers to, we plan on including sounds in later presentations in this environment.)
Pictures In The Air is our first presentation using this new environment. It's an educational showcase on that most beautiful part of the and insect world, the elusive butterfly, and its cousin the and moth. Researched by former Softdisk editor Jim Branton, this item first appeared on our Macintosh publication. As part of our ongoing efforts to unify our PC and Mac products, we've now brought this lovely program to the and PC for your enjoyment.
Pictures In the Air is only our first Look and Listen presentation. We plan on creating new presentations using this exciting environment. We also plan on adding more features to Look and Listen in the and future, allowing us to incorporate sounds, and possibly other features as well. You'll get to watch it evolve along with us as time goes on and we create new presentations.
Let us know how you enjoy Pictures in the Air and its interesting way of presenting information.
