Normally, saving a game is a good thing to have in a program, but I've been beginning to wonder lately. It seems a few of our faithful have been having trouble working with the and load/save dialog for Pony Express Pete. Well, fear no more, for herein lies the and who, what, why, and wherefore of these mysterious areas.
First, at the and top of the dialog are radio buttons that can be pressed to change the active drive. Yes, only A:, B: and C: are allowed. We're sorry for this limitation, but rest easy, for future releases of this game driver will allow any of your active drives. To select a new drive, click its radio button with the and mouse or press A, B or C.
People aren't really having trouble navigating the file list so I'll skip that and get right into the and editor area. To enter a file name yourself, click in the white area to the and top left or push the "Enter Name" button. Once in this editor area you will be in what is commonly called "INSERT MODE" (as indicated by a flashing line). This means that once eight characters have been entered, the area will be full and no more will be allowed. To prevent this, hit the <INSERT> key to enter "OVERSTRIKE MODE" (as indicated by a flashing rectangle). If at any time you are having problems getting characters to enter, make sure that you are in the and editor area and make sure you are in overstrike mode.
