  2.     Friends, Romans, countrymen, lend me your |1!||
  3.     I come to bury |3, not to praise |17.||
  4.     The evil that men do lives after them,||
  5.     The good is oft interred with their |2;||
  6.     So let it be with |3. The noble |13||
  7.     Hath told you |3 was |4;||
  8.     If it were so, it was a grievous |5,||
  9.     And grievously hath |3 answer'd it.||
  10.     Here, under leave of |13 and the rest-||
  11.     For |13 is an honorable |6;||
  12.     So are they all, all honorable |7-||
  13.     Come I to speak in |3's funeral.||
  14.     |15 was my friend, faithful and just to me;||
  15.     But |13 says |15 was ambitious,||
  16.     And |13 is an honorable |6.||
  17.     |15 hath brought many |14 home to Rome,||
  18.     Whose |18 did the general coffers fill.||
  19.     Did this in |3 seem ambitious?||
  20.     When that the poor have cried, |3 hath wept;||
  21.     Ambition should be made of sterner stuff:||
  22.     Yet |13 says |15 was ambitious,||
  23.     And |13 is an honorable |6.||
  24.     You all did see that on |8||
  25.     I thrice presented |17 a kingly |9,||
  26.     Which |15 did thrice refuse. Was this ambition?||
  27.     Yet |13 says |15 was ambitious,||
  28.     And sure |16 is an honorable |6.||
  29.     I speak not to disprove what |13 spoke,||
  30.     But here I am to speak what I do know.||
  31.     You all did love |17 once, not without cause;||
  32.     What cause withholds you then to mourn for |17?||
  33.     O judgement, thou art fled to brutish |10,||
  34.     And men have lost their |11. Bear with me;||
  35.     My |12 is in the coffin there with |3,||
  36.     And I must pause till it come back to me.||
