Well, we have now been getting a full month's worth of response from you, our valued customer, on the new presentation and format of On Disk Monthly.
To paraphrase Sally Field, "You like us, you {really} like us!"
Wow. We were amazed. (I told them you would like it.) We ARE amazed. (I knew it all the time.) We remain committed to improving the product, according to your wants and suggestions.
Honestly, ladies and gentlemen, I want to offer a heartfelt "Thanks" for all of the wonderful comments that I read on the hundreds of report cards that have come pouring in for issue #83. I, my staff, and the general rabble here at Softdisk truly appreciate the kind words of appreciation. I will continue to try to improve On Disk Monthly for the future. Believe me, I read your comments, and I try to tailor ODM to meet your needs and desires.
Okay! 'nuff said. On to bigger and better things.
How'd you like Klondike on the last issue? Once again I have to write this before we actually get any response from issue #84. I hope you liked it. If so, let me know, I have two or three great shareware programs just waiting to be published, if you want them.
Hey! We have purchased some Sound Blaster cards for our programmers. That means we are now researching methods for supporting the Sound Blaster cards in our programs. Using Sound Blaster sounds will greatly improve the overall "look and feel" of our programs, I think. What do you think? I've got one of my best programmers working on sound routines right this very minute. (Okay, probably not "this very minute" since it is very late and he is probably asleep, but you get the idea.)
A small number of subscribers have been concerned about our Windows items. I've been arguing for a separate Windows product but I need to hire some more programmers to get another product out. Help me to convince my lords and masters to fork over the dough for new programmers by telling me whether you would purchase a separate Windows disk. If you would subscribe to BOTH a DOS and a Windows version of ODM, our President and CEO would love to hear it.
Okay, that's enough damage for one month. Once again, I truly appreciate the kind words of encouragement I found on dozens of report cards. I passed them on to the people who really do all of the work around here. They thank you too.
