  6. There is a time for everything, and a season for every  
  7. activity under heaven: a time to be born and a time to die, a  
  8. time to plant and a time to uproot, a time to kill and a time  
  9. to heal, a time to tear down and a time to build, a time to  
  10. weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance,  
  11. a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them, a time to  
  12. embrace and a time to refrain, a time to search and a time to  
  13. give up, a time to keep and a time to throw away, a time to  
  14. tear and a time to mend, a time to be silent and a time to  
  15. speak, a time to love and a time to hate, a time for war and a

  17. If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not  
  18. love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I  
  19. have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all  
  20. knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but  
  21. have not love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the  
  22. poor and surrender my body to the flames, but have not love, I  
  23. gain nothing. Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy,  
  24. it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not  
  25. self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of  
  26. wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the  
  27. truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always  
  28. perseveres. Love never fails. But where there are prophecies,  
  29. they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be  
  30. stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. For we  
  31. know in part and we prophecy in part, but when perfection  
  32. comes, the impefect disappears. When I was a child, I reasoned  
  33. like a child. When I became a man, I put childish ways behind  
  34. me. Now we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror; then we  
  35. shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know  
  36. fully, even as I am fully known. And now these three remain;  
  37. faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love. -- I
