Dear computer friends:
You're going to love this issue! First, you get a great
spreadsheet program--Personal Calc 2.0--and a couple of
useful templates for it (including one for doing the old
taxes!). Second, you get some terrific Print Shop images
with a spring theme. Third, you get a really fun and
challenging game called Tiles of the Nile. Fourth, you get
Softdisk Backdroppers (Windows Wallpaper). Fifth, you
get a cool clock that tells you the time every time you boot
your computer. And sixth, you get an update for ODM Indexer
(the third such update since we published the original
program on issue #64).
I personally play Tiles of the Nile every chance I get--at
lunch and any other time I can close my door and pretend I'm
in a meeting. And I've already set one of the Backdroppers as
my Windows Wallpaper of choice. I think I'll sic my husband
on Personal Calc 2.0. After all, he did say HE'D do our
taxes this year.
Finally, we held the drawing for the 75th Issue Celebration
Contest (as scheduled) with the following results:
Winner of the Catacomb Trilogy
Charles V. Johnson Jr., N. Hollywood, CA
10 RUNNERS-UP (who'll each receive a gorgeous Softdisk Mouse
Pad): Martha M. Fielder, Las Cruces, NM; Robert L. Andrews,
Rew, PA; Darrell Ward, West Chicago, IL; Fredrick H. Casler,
St. Catharines, Canada; Phil Kopriva, San Francisco, CA;
Joallene Raymond, Cayuga, TX; J.R. Shirek, Orlando, FL;
Warren E. Beach, Bremerton, WA; and J. Kenneth Ibach, New
Holland, PA. Congratulations! Look for future contests!
Happy computing,
Ronda Faries
