  6. This file contains some essential information on "jspell",
  7. a spell checker for ASCII text files, featuring
  8.  
  9.   (1) easy to use interface,
  10.   (2) fast and reliable word suggestion for misspelled words,
  11.   (3) global action (ignore all, replace all, mark all etc.),
  12.   (4) undo,
  13.   (5) TeX/LaTeX.

  15. System Requirements:
  16.   DOS 3.3 or later
  17.   Hard Disk
  18.   384K RAM
  19.  
  20. Installation:
  21.   (1) Make sure you have two files
  22.         install.exe  and  jspell.000
  23.       in the current directory, and enter the command
  24.         install
  25.   (2) The installation procedure is pretty much fool proof and safe,
  26.       I believe.  It doesn't modify your autoexec.bat or config.sys
  27.       file.  It doesn't change or introduce any environment variable.
  28.       It'll take about 15 seconds for 486 or fast 386 machines and
  29.       about 1 minute for 286 notebooks.
  30.   (3) After installation, you will have the following files in the
  31.       jspell directory, which are created by "install".  (You'll get
  32.       prompted to enter this directory name.)

  44.       directory in your PATH.

  47.       to read the help screen, which explains the usage of "jspell".
